If that's going to be the third line, I could see Shaw-Bolland-Bickell making a splash tonight

I have had the crappiest day so far so I'm fully expecting a disappointing loss to round it out.

St Louis is a well coached team that plays a system. Kane doesn't seem to play his best in these type of games ala Nashville where there is not a lot of open ice. Emery's game however favours a team like St Louis as he doesn't give up many rebounds and his weakness is the late pass across the crease (Vancouver).

I think we can take this one if we score early and make them open up a bit

3-2 Hawks

It will be interesting with the injuries on both sides.

I think the Hawks surprise us. 1-0

This is really bold. Hawks trying to be only the third team since the lockout to not have a shutout in an entire season. I wouldn't bet against it.

I seem to recall a goal Kane scored against Nashville in the 5th game of the opening round of the playoffs back in 2010.

Of course the Hawks were shot handed, so that created the extra room he needed.

Score first and they will win. Blues can't really implement their system when trailing. Force their ****ing hands!

**** i thought this game was tomorrow night! Working, as usual.

Hawks with another 3-1 Victory. Kane, Hossa, and Emery (surprisingly) have really, really stepped it up lately. I see no reason for that not to continue against a team we can clearly beat.

3-1 Blues, but I'd be ecstatic to see it the other way.

Thought you were calling an Emery goal for a second there.

7-3 Hawks. Let's screw up that GAA average.

reading around these boards...anyone else find Blues fans really cocky now? They are having one good regular season.

Agreed. The longer we keep this game scoreless or score first, the better off we are. .... and stay out of the penalty box. Our .. ahem ... PP may be the key.

Yeah, it would nice. I'm almost afraid to mention this, but Hawks possession game has been much better since JO came on board and with Kane playing center. The Blues may be facing a different team then they have seen this season .... and if Hawks can continue that trend and play their game, Blues will be chasing all night. That leads to frustration and dumb penalties. Go Hawks!

Yes. But they have every right to be until their team fails, which as of today has not happened. Personally, I see the Blues flopping come springtime, unable to score when they need to... but we'll see.
