So the Hawks beat them with a concussed Toews and lost to them without a concussed Toews. OK...

The Blues have not been dominating the Hawks all year (but the Preds have). The Blues had one more day off and a more healthy team, the blow out was in the realm of possibility, especially in St Louis.

There are no more litmus tests, this is an injured team that even when healthy struggles a bit. Maybe it was a litmus test for the Blues, but I doubt that.

Are you referring to Lidstrom as a top 4 dman?

no, I thought they missed another Defender too.

Lidstrom may still be the best Defender in the NHL

Bertuzzi has played and if you count Howard, Kindl has played too

I suppose tonight’s game could be a part 2 of the test. NYR plays a physical game as well, perhaps not to the extent that the Blues do (at home), but they will test Hawk’s in that regard. There’s no question that Hawks play a better game on home ice and we’ll see how they handle Rangers, after the big failure we witnessed, in St Louis.
