Are you sure? The current GF standings put us at 30th with 142, and Minnesota at 29th with 143. After tonight it will change.
I had the same question, but if you look at "goals per game" on the official site, they show the Kings at 2.12 and Minnesota at 2.08 (since before tonight, Minny had a game in had). Also, the official tallies seem not to count the "goal" credited to the team for a shootout win as part of the G/G stat, so that reduces the Kings' overall goal tally to 138, but reduces the Wild's total to 137.
Just another confusing thing created by the bogus shootout "tiebreaker". Way past time for it to go away forever.
"It has not been a good day. I lost my glasses early this morning and I had to go buy a pair of 79 dollar reading glasses today. 79 bucks. You can literally get them at Costco, three-for-20." - Darryl Sutter's response to going up 2-0 in the series.
Nice the Kings won't have to deal with Tootoo's BS the rest of this game.
Technically, he could come back if the Kings complete the collapse and let this go to OT/SO... (the sad thing is, the fourth NSH goal game right as I was opening the window for this reply... another f-ing fluke goal!)
