I would stick with Bob for the start of next year, see how Hovinen does in the AHL and go from there.

If we need to deal Bob for help elsewhere, so be it. If we need to find a vet to work with Hovo (with Heeter is learning in the ECHL) they can do that too.
This is what I see happening. Hovinen, Heeter and a vet backup battle it out for the 2 goalie spots on the Phantoms. In the end I see Hovinen being the starter with the vet backing him up to start.

And all of this doesn't preclude them from signing Eriksson and letting him stay in Sweden for one more year either, if they still have an interest in him and vice versa.

There are lots of possiblities, but I think now that Bryz seems to be back on track a bit (knock wood) we're all a little less worried about the future in net.

Eh thats alot to give up. I do think Bob could be had for just a 1st rounder. That being said, we really dont know how well Hovinen will do next season. He could be like Bob and impress or he could be horrendous. Or even Heeter could look amazing. We just dont know. I would like to hold onto Bob and maybe trade him at the next deadline when there is a team that needs a goalie. We would get the most value then. We would then know if Hovinen is capable to backing up Bryz. He could be like Lindback and be a solid backup for when Bryz falters here and there.
