I think Smith is losing focus. He's had 2 Delay of Game penalties in 2 games. That last one vs. Columbus was just so blatant. How obviously marked is it that he is not allowed to touch the puck in that area? He freaking looked right at it, reaches with his stick out to move puck and was like "wtf!? how come that happened?" when the ref called the penalty. That's just either laziness or not even thinking straight. Just inexcusable.

AP, I would have done better, but I didn't plan on making today's, and seeing as we don't have one yet, I just chalked it up real quick. I hope I didn't let you down.

Coyotes need to go back to no frills, basic hockey. So it fits.

No turnovers, make the most of your powerplays, shut down Malkin, win.

Tis the game that counts, but you should have put a little sumpn' sumpn' in there 'bout getting to Pittsburgh and watching the game live!

I wonder if BizNasty plays because his dad is coming down from Ontario for the game. He did well the last time he played in the Northeast with his dad in attendance if I recall correctly.

I'm thinking we could use a couple of goals out of Vrbata tonight. And no stinking turnovers!

Yeah, I believe the last time his dad attended a game, Bizwussy scored a goal, and we know how unbelievably rare/flukey that is.

It works as its a sign about getting back to basics. As of right now, I don't have much time to make a GDT let alone some of the ones I have made may have jinx the team with my humor attempts in the past.

I'm right back to where I was 3 months ago: no idea what to expect.

All I know is it's not the time to start a losing streak. And please, someone wake Vermette up. I still can't quite tell the difference between him and Taylor Pyatt, except a lot of dollar bills.

Either one. Perhaps if they both attend, he'll score two goals.

I am amazed by the Pens depth here as that team finds ways to win big even now with the injuries they have as of late and with Sidney Crosby's career facing a possible short NHL career as a player. Malkin has filled his shoes nicely.

One thing I've noticed about Smith is how he ducks his head whenever someone shoots towards his mask and then makes a somewhat random attempt at a glove swipe above his head. I can understand that as a natural reaction but it seems like something teams are starting to notice and may start attempting to exploit. It seemed like LA had picked up on it the last time they played. The good thing is Smith is tall so even when he ducks his head the shot usually ends up sailing over the crossbar but still it's something that makes me a bit nervous.

I remember he got hit right in the face with a puck at one point, I wonder if that has something to do with it? I have noticed this though.

When they are healthy, it's kind of a shame those two are on the same team as they're both capable of putting a team on their back.

Playoff atmosphere game tonight. We can't afford to lose this game or else we can drop down to 8th or 9th seed soon.

I saw Bissonnette's name on the screen, but not Brule's. Too bad, I really like Brule's play.

It would be nice if they scored first for once
