Why have refs at all if they can't figure out a simple goalie interference?

I'm curious as to how that was a good goal. For all the goals I've seen waived off over the years, that one appeared to be the most obvious that should be waived off.

The better question is, how in the world did we come out snoozing in this period. We deserve it. First 4 min hemmed in our own end.

honestly listening to the columbus announcers (who are still better than Anaheim's) I almost feel stupid for questioning the call.

There needs to be a point where the adults in Toronto flash the red light and over rule the ****tards on the ice. HE IS STANDING ON THE GOALIES BACK

The refs in this league really suck. I'm sick of everyone talking about how they get most calls right when they miss some really big ones.

Yeah, Im not gonna be like the fans of other teams and say "eff you refs, you cost us this game". That call wont beat us, that first period is what will cost us.

So, is the rule that you post when the opponent has a 2-goal lead or better, but not if it's less?

It very well might. The fact that they played a crappy period doesn't give the refs license to make it harder to come back. It's a 60 minute game, and if they lose by 1, that call certainly will make a difference.

Don't take this as gospel, but I don't think the war room in Toronto can rule goalie interference. Believe the on ice officials have to call it.

You're right, that's why I think Toronto needs expanded jurisdiction on goals and everything leading up to goals.

This is my interpretation as well. It's a brutal call to miss but not something they can overturn after the fact.

Well, next time we crash the net, Hanzal, Doan, or Pyatt can simply knock Mason down and sit on him until we put the puck into the net.

See here is why the NHL is full of ****, Toronto can review kicking motions, but not goalie interference.
