Jeff Rimer SUCKS. People hate on Jack Edwards when Jack Edwards is the best ever compared to Rimer. I wish they'd get rid of him.
He must be blind as a bat - he keeps getting players wrong.

He absolutely, positively, without a shadow of a doubt blows.

Oh, and in the intermission? Here's a drinking game for you:

Take a shot every time Bill Davidge's telestrator segment features him saying something along the lines of, "Now STOP it right here!" or "Let it roll!" for starting/stopping the replay.

Play the game with a Samuel Jackson lager. It'll get you drunk in no time!

You're 100% their version of Todd Walsh is much better looking than ours, plus no references to the tragically hip with the CLB Todd Walsh

I like the way we kept the pressure on the last half of the period. Lets keep it going in the third and tie!

if we score again im guessing torres is involved.

Bill Davidge is blind like a ****ing bat, it wasn't a defenceman it was Langkow and he was also under Dorcet.

it's an awful call. plain and simple. that being said that call should not be the game.

Although if I'm Maloney I'm asking a lot of questions to the head office of the NHL on how the two officials missed the Jacket player on top of the netminder.

Yeah i agree that call has nothing to do with us losing tonights game, i just enjoy good hockey, when the refs dont pull horrible calls for ether side.

There is being a homer on a regional sports network, and then there is being absolutely freaking clueless.

You expect a degree of homerism on RSNs. You don't tune into NESN to hear Jack Edwards praise Montreal. You don't tune into Sun Sports to hear Rick Peckham cheer on Vancouver. You don't tune into CSN California and expect Randy Hahn to be pro-Philadelphia. Of course they'll love their respective teams!

But Rimer and Davidge are flat out terrible. I mean terrible. Brutally terrible. They don't deserve not one, not two, but three facepalms many nights.

I'm going to uses Davadge argument, "it's a hockey play," next time I get called for hooking in my next beer league game.

"That's a goal he'd like to have back" is another classic Davidgism.

My judgement on the homerism level of announcers is based on their goal calls. As long as they don't sound like their dog just died when the opposing team scores that crew is probably okay.

Heck, one time, Nashville scored a game-winner in OT on the Jackets, and Rimer called it like we made the save.

EDIT: Link to it:
