Primary Target

Carter Ashton, the newest Maple Leaf, was acquired at the trade deadline. He has immediately helped make no real difference in Toronto's playoff chances, as they continue to falter down the stretch and deal with subpar defensive responsibilities. But, at least Ashton gets some playing time, right?

Red Hot Cat Of The Night

Jose Theodore has allowed 1 goal in his last 2 games (not including the shootout).

Last Game VS. Maple Leafs

In my opinion, I'd like to see either Santorelli or Sturm scratched for Barch. At least Barch brings an element of toughness. Santorelli is irrelevant on checking lines and Sturm has become irrelevant with the acquisitions of Madden/Smithson.

i think dineen is just going to keep alternating those guys in and out of the lineup. allows for fresh legs, which hopefully will lead to some energy from our 3rd/4th lines. a luxury most coaches dont have at this stage of the season.

The Panthers have beaten the Leafs in the other three matchups this season and this is at home. We're feeding off of a shutout win, so there is absolutely no reason to lose this game.

I'd rather see Barch in place of Sturm as well. Although, I understand that he's just coming back from injury, but Barch seems like he'd be much more useful in a game like we have tomorrow night.

We have to win the games we're supposed to win from now on. Doing that, alone, will get us into the playoffs. This is one of them.

is anyone else as surprised as i am to see gustavsson's numbers this year? 17-6-5? That sounds way too good for how he has actually played this season.

Hope Jovo plays like he did against the Canes and doesn't revert back to doing things like this:

Perhaps we'll see Guds v. Ashton 2. I also agree about putting Barch back in there. He seems like he gets one really good chance to score every few games or so. Plus, selfishly I'd like to see him go with Brown (if he plays).
