Forsberg 2nd overall? I don't get all the hype. He did dominate the U18 tourney, but hasn't produced that well in any other league or tourney. Also is he actually 196 lbs? I though it was 176

Don't necessarily agree. Still a big Rissling fan. Kulak is just a safe defender, doesn't play physical enough for my liking.

As for the rest of the WHL rankings, can't say I agree with all of them but everyone has their own opinions. I would have guys like Corbett, McVeigh, Olsen much higher...while guys like Seaman, Smith and Magee a bit lower.

I'm thankful that they do a 7th round mock draft and how hard it can be, but am just not a fan of this site.

No way 4-5 Latvian's are drafted. Girgensons and Bluegers will be the only ones likely.

Also, no way any team picks Knot and Tomas Pavelka goes undrafted.

I'm saving this post for future reference. Seriously - this is the year for Latvian hockey.

Why? 4-5 Latvians too much? If they're among the top 210, they get drafted.

I don't seem to agree with the highschool Massachusetts rankings. Definitely think Adam Gilmour and Danny O'Regan should be drafted somewhere from mid-late round.

GILLIES probably is a late 2nd....

DANSK ahead of VASILEVSKI? ---Most other lists don't have it that way...
We shall see who shines at the World U-18's to finally seetle the isuue... I would have put Malcolm Subban ahead of both at mid-year--but his play has not been as good after he got back from a groin injury in February and his play since has seen that save% drop from .938 before the injury to .922 now and still trending worse...
HOWEVER-this could be a lingering effect of the groin issue and much like BRANDON SAAD last year ,a lot of GM's could be fooled into downgrading Subban to 2nd rounder when if healthy and playing to form he would be looked at as a 1st rounder...BUT impressions currently usually are te lasting ones affecting the draft..

I don't think you can have that big of a gap between TOM WILSON and STEFAN MATTEAU ...In the Milan Lucic "category" of big physical wingers you gotta think if teams want that they either bot go in the late first --or early 2nd --too coveted a type to last to mid 2nd --so I'd say 23-33 range and both willbe off the board...
LUKAS SUTTER is another in this category except that he is a '93 BUT also a CENTRE -so this could again play out from taken earlier (1st round) to top ten in the 2nd... THOSE who like physical "PIM" types will not let these 3 exemplars stay on the board too long in a "weak draft" (per Brian Burke)...

I liked Pavelka back in Czech and Knot has had bad season so far but Knot has much higher upside than Pavelka. Knot is project and sleeper.

No, Luza has exactly zero chance... I would say that only Richard Mraz and Richard Buri have certain chance.
Buri is nonsense for me, big, mobile D with stone hands and little hockey sense but some people like him.

I completely agree, I think if Kulak adds an hitting aspect to his game, I think he could be a really, really good defenseman. Way to soft for my liking in my opinion. Great stick checker and great positionally.

Agreed as well. Wasn't physical in the two games I saw him but he seemed like he was still very solid defensively. If he added that physical game to his game, that would be great, but then again, its not always about the physical play when it comes to breaking up plays and pressuring the offense.

Vasilevski is no lock to go ahead of any goalie. Dansk is.a goalie definitely capable of going ahead of both Vasilevski and Subban.

I agree, right now he is playing with the U17 team along with Nikolas Olsson and Brendan Silk, who are all 94's.

Wow, Marcantuoni and Koules are such droppers, so much hype, Marcantuoni will probably be a steal though

Rissling has big upside. Just needs his feet to catch up and he is going to be NHL caliber defenseman.

As long as you’re on the “physical winger category”...another for the list...

Alexander Dagnal, 6'1”/198lbs--Buffalo-OJHL. 32/7/7/14/36. Smart, relentless Lucic/Holmstrom type player that just brings it every shift--in every zone. Fun to watch.

Was talking Nathan, I saw him in HM, but i'm almost positive someone will draft him.

It's a ranking, not a mock-draft.

This is a fantastic resource, thanks for the efforts.

7 round mock draft is like Cross Fit crazy. that's like 15 handstand push ups for draft junkies.

Nikita Gusev in the middle of the 7th round?

I think he's going to go a lot higher.
