Hey guys... correct me if I'm wrong but why would we go after Galchenyuk? Even if we get him there's no way he would be a 1st line nhler right off the hop. Burke will trade for a #1 in the offseason. So doesn't it make sense to get a LW or RW forward in the draft?
Only seen the last 5 min of the second and the third - actually pretty happy with an entertaining close game with the Bruins to be honest. Not even upset about tonight. Glad Wilson's gone, and the Leafs are playing MUCH better the last 2 games.
5-4 loss - against the Bruins. Moving on. Better than the blowouts we're used to seeing.
Despite the loss, this team still showed a lot of heart and looked better under Carlyle's direction. Some more time for this team to learn from him and I think they're going in the right direction. Also Burke will definitely be making some changes to Carlyle's liking which should improve the team. Intriguing times ahead.
You do realize we're talking about an undrafted prospect?
Dude. If this guy wasn't injured this season he'd be competing with Yakupov for #1-2 spot. Many scouts have said he's ready for the NHL and he's pretty big. He hits, scores and is a good skater. What more do you want? I'm not talking about any undrafted prospect and your post seems to tell me you don't even know who this guy is. I'd atleast bring him up to the leafs and let him play. He'll tear apart the AHL. No need to put him there. Only reason he'd go to the AHL is if burke thinks he needs time after missing a season. But if he gets healed in time for the ohl playoffs then I see him being in the NHL his first year.
