They only are "emergency" when there are not enough players to fill a team.
So since lupul and army are down, crabb and brown slot into the spots.

If Brown is still injured for the next game, then they can call up someone on an emergency basis until Brown is ready.

Is that what happens if Brown can't play? We technically could put Franson in that spot and roll with 7 D. Or are we allowed to call up a forward for free?

I'm pretty sure we call up a forward in that case.

Pittsburgh fan voting empty net to aid the Toronto Tank and Malkin's chase of the Art Ross. Everyone is happy .

....and of course it isn't forgotten that Reimer shut us out last time around.

I figured the number had to be high, they were throwing hits on Boston every chance they got.

He seems like a bust because he's struggling in his second season like 95 percent of goalies?

I wouldn't have minded, though, if we would have dealt Cmac plus our 2nd or something for Schneider. Our 2nd is close to a first and Cmac had value of a first rounder.

Hell, at this point I'd probably trade Schenn for him. Schneider is one hell of a goalie.

This.

What are the odds Burke goes after Galchenyuk? Between 5-7? I don't want another dman and what other forwards are worth going there aside from grigerenko, Yakapuv and Forsberg who will all probably be gone. Grigerenko is getting **** lately from scouts but still one hell of a talent.

I hope for at least a hard fought battle tonight. Win or Lose. At this point, We're not going to get a playoff spot while fighting 4 other teams for it.

Not sure if anyone else mentioned it but with Kessel hitting 70 points last night means he is the first Maple Leaf to hit 70 points or more since Sundin in 07-08 and the only player on our roster atm with a 70 point season...

Reimer's starting for sure. No way Gustavsson is getting back to back even after travel.

Lupul would have too. We would have had a chance for 2 80 point players. When the last time 2 Leafs hit 80 the same season? Who is the last Leaf to hit 80? Did Mogilny do it?

EDIT: just looked it up. Mogilny had 79 in 73 games in 2002-2003 but Mats had 80 in 2001-2002 so hasn't happened in 10 years that even 1 Leaf has done it

I think our defensemen have looked better as of late, and I've noticed Gardiner making some rookie mistakes. I think he should take a seat (just for this game) and let him rest till Saturday. Let Franson play with Schenn.
