MN Wild Stanley Cup Champions 20_ _?

Lets here some predictions! (Just for fun) When we will make the playoffs, be contenders, and actually win the cup! I'm predicting with the inflow of young talent could the magic year be the year 2015?

I said 14-15. I think by then most of our prospects, including whoever we pick up in this years draft, will be contributing and starting to hit their prime.

We don't even become a playoff threat until 2013-14 and an actual Cup contender until possibly 2015 or 2016.

Long way to go, guys. If there's a lockout, those years get pushed further.

2015 is a stretch for winning the cup. Granlund would be 23 and Brodin would still be 21. I think you can argue the window for contending opens in 2015, but I wouldn't expect success until our current set of ELCs are up.

I just hope we don't have to wait 40-plus years like a certain other team. But I wouldn't be shocked if we don't see it till 2020.

I think it all hinges on how many of our prospects pan out and how many are busts.

You heard it here first, folks. Minnesota Wild will become the Yellowknife Wild for the 2013-14 season. Putting this one at an e5.

Well I sure hope *I* am in another city by the time we win a Cup.

I've lived in or within an hour of Moorhead for all but three months of my life. I need to GTFO of here. Badly.

Nah. The Saskatchewan Sunflowers. The next franchise will arrive in Minnesota in time for the 2016 season from either Anaheim, Florida, or *drumroll* Dallas

Too many variables to make a reasonable prediction.

I say 14-15 because I think all of the pieces SHOULD be in place by then.

I'd say even 2015-16 is too early, but we should be pretty good by then.

Another thing to remember is that a good lineup guarantees squat. There are 30 teams....29 will lose. There are some years when the unexpected happens and teams will come out of no where to make the Finals. Remember the Oilers when they got Roli. Look at Carolina, Anaheim, and Tampa. They weren't great year after year, but had one awesome season that won it all. And then consider teams like Vancouver who do fairly well on a regular basis, but can never get it done. There are so many reasons why the Wild could win it 5 years from now or not until 20 years from now.

Impossible to say. Just having a good youngster group coming up doesn't mean anything, even if we had a team half of playoff hardened veterans its not granted, look at San Jose.

We were quite good on the first half of the season without injuries. I'd say 15-16 only if we manage to sign/trade a star defenseman or two.

I don't think any team has good odds to win with parity as it is. All it takes is a couple bad games in the playoffs to lose.

The team should be a lot better in 2-3 years, but so will a lot of teams.
