Also wtf is up with SJ? They should've destroyed us. Looks like their window of opportunity just got slammed shut.

That's what's so frustrating for me. He can play so well for an entire game, but he always lets in a couple weak ones for some reason. The potential IS there

Smid and Petry once again do a number on the opponents top line. These two have been outstanding for us and seem to be getting better still.

Solid game overall, if the Sharks were themselves they should have won though.

For those questioning Renney's decisions, why the heck did the shark coach send Burns out there in the shootout

We may not have to decide between Grigerenko/Murray; with the way Montreal is playing, the Oilers choosing third overall seems most likely. We will have to take Murray and wait three or four years for him to make an impact.

Yeah. I sour tonight.

Thursday's game is going to be pretty important. If we win, we tie the Canadiens with 60 points. If we lose, they go up to 62 and we stay at 58. The Jackets have 49.

Big game Thursday night!

What did RNH do to get taken off of the first power play unit? He has been our best player with the man advantage all season and even set up our power play goal in our only opportunity last game but found himself sitting on the bench for the entire power play tonight. If he were on it we may have scored before taking those penalties.

Never felt like Edmonton had a chance...but I'll take a coupla points. Dubey's such a god damn enigma it drives me crazy. He lets in Jim freakin' Vandermeer's "bullet" from the top of the circle with nobody screening him and nobody touching the puck....yet he absolutely stoned a handful of Sharks in the last 10 minutes.

Shoulda been a shutout!. PP showed it didnt need rnh when it went without him for 21 games, RNH on the 2nd unit gives us a double threat instead double shifting the kids

As implausible as it sounds I wouldn't be surprised if Montreal didn't win another game all year. They're in full tank mode right now.

Listened to the game on Ched, glad to hear the team dug in after San Jose's second goal. Even more glad that we won!

Dubnyk absolutely robbed some Sharks today. He could've had a shutout if he weren't so dumb sometimes.

Gagner - crap game, but redeemed himself at the end
Hall - Meh
Eberle - solid effort
Petry - Amazing
Whitney - Trash
Potter - Trash only in his own zone
Hemsky - Wish he had D-men to pass to more often
Omark - Surprisingly good game

Well, if Montreal takes Yakupov, great. If we take him, even better!

Just... not Columbus. No, not Columbus.

I agree, but as bad as they've been recently they are only three points back of Dallas with two games in hand. The Pacific Division is ridiculously tight.

I hope they get in though. More appealing than Phoenix, Dallas, or LA for me.

Why would Renney want to utilize his cannon and stick-handling capabilities?

I was prepping to rip Dubnyk for the two horrid goals that he allowed in regulation but he stoned the Sharks late and stood tall in the shootout. Like Horseradish said, he's a frustrating enigma. His lateral movement is weak but once and a while he displays world class skill at the position.

I thought Omark looked a lot stronger defensively than he did last year.

I don't think it is a stretch to say that PEtry has been our best player the past 10 games or so.

Columbus is winning, amazingly... 3 straight. Spoiler role and probably many of their players playing for their NHL lives.

Yup. He's too busy teaching to worry about winning hockey games.

I get the feeling Renney might even know his days are outnumbered especially having no contract in place for next year. Probably could care less about the outcome
