So judging by the title, even though there were just 3 calls, some people are still mad at the refs---for me this reminds me of people who piss into wind while standing on bow of a boat

Well Horcoff and Nuge play totally different roles. We don't need RNH in front of the net taking cross checks to the back while trying to screen the goaltender.
It's Gagner that should be demoted to the second unit.
Its to spread out the talent.. 2nd unit would be a joke, RNH can QB it to success

We got 1 PP because it was a delay of game for SJ, It was then negated 1 minute in by a half trip during a net battle by Horcoff, Then a questionable highstick(not sure if it hit him) made it a 5 on 3

I wonder if you say the same thing in a few minutes.

Come on, don't be a Debbie Downer. It's fun to give refs hard time. Who else are we supposed to bytch about today?
I liked Peckham's physicality tonight. But that was about it. Oh and Dubey should be punished everytime he tries to play the puck. He seems so confused when it is on his stick.

The referees hid their whistles for over 50 minutes. Okay, I suppose that's good, right? Let the teams play. But then the Sharks got a delay of game penalty (they have to call that, right?) which was swiftly followed by two ticky tacky penalties on Horcoff and Jones. Similar plays occurred time and time again over the first 50 minutes.
The officials are playing an absurd little game here and I don't like it.

I wonder if he knew how quickly the San Jose player was bearing down on him on that play.

He'd better figure out how to play the puck because the GM's are expected to vote on getting rid of the trapezoid at the GM meetings.

Bingo!!!
Horcoff isn't the problem on the 1st unit, he actually does his job well. He doesn't get in the way of the puck movement and sets a nice net presence.
RNH needs to play in Gagner's spot, Gagner has never been a very good PP player while RNH is already an elite one. It only makes sense but then again, we're talking about Renney where sense seems to be lost.

This.
Their "standards" seemed to magically shift once that delay of game penalty was called. There were at least 3-4 plays in the game that were much more blatant than that Horcoff call, but the zebra in the neutral zone decided that that was going to be the time the whistle was coming out. It's a complete farce.
Spector just tweeted that he asked Renney all of "your" questions about Omark, and will air the interview on his show later today. Hopefully he asked Tom some uneasy questions.
seems to me that by not playing rnh ala pp, renney is trying to send the message that pp time is to be earned and not given away like candy to make children smile.

hopefully they were a little different than the soft-toss question he had in that 10 minute presser the other day.
Well thats kind of a silly assumption to make. Just because something "isn't broken" doesn't mean it can't get better.
How do we get better then #1?, Id rather have the 2nd unit not be a joke like it was this year, you know when we were double shifting the kids on the PP because the 2nd unit was comedic..

We can't possibly get a better powerplay ranking than #1, you're right.
We can however get a much better powerplay conversion percentage than 22%. Tons of room for improvement really, according to the numbers we don't score on 78% of our powerplays... thats kind of a lot of them.
Good to see Gagner mixed it up in the shootout as pointed out by a few others.
Dubnyk continued with his patterned 1 weak goal and 1 bad goal every couple games. Management has got to start a contingency plan to get another goalie with #1 potential in the off season.
Time for Dubnyk to get pushed by a new goalie instead of getting too comfortable with making bad mistakes knowing Khabby is near retirement and not competing for a starting job down the road.
The Sharks has no chance of going anywhere in the playoff. They are slow. We were buzzing around them every game we played them this season. Not fast enough offensively, not physical enough defensively, and not very good goaltending. They will be the easiest opponent to play against in the first round, that is if they don't miss the playoff altogether.
