Another great aspect of having a prospect or two close is, I have to think it pushes a current roster player to focus more, not that Soupy wasn`t focused, but like the other 17 skaters, his game wasn`t where we know it can be a bit of a wake up call regardless if they don`t play the same position and it`s fresh energy too.

Competition is good, can`t imagine how much more that`s amped up next season with kids like Spooner/Knight/Dougie, maybe Cross etc...

its amazing to think that boston may have won the cup at the very beginning of their window. its likely we havent even gotten to their elite years.

next season could be a real treat.

if caron has flipped the switch and carries this recent surge into next season. boston has very likely 3 maybe 4 rookies who could push for some time in boston.

hamilton seems likely to make the team out of camp and be used similarly to seguin last year. put him in positions to succeed and learn the nhl game without too much responsibility

knight and spooner and cross could all push for spots as well.

if the bruins land parise in the offseason that gives them perhaps the best 1-12 forwards in the nhl and the core forwards would all be either in their prime or yet to enter it.

lucic horton krejci bergeron seguin marchand caron add parise and thats 8 top 9 players not a one of them 30 years old. only kelly and the soon to be 30 peverley would be "old" you could have 2 20 year olds vying for spots as well in spooner and knight.

most of them with a stanely cup already under their belt thats scary good.
