This GDT does not troll

@

Ok, let's face it. We're not gonna win.

It's just INSANE how good the Buffalo team is.

Everyone who thinks they're not a lock for playoffs is on drugs. They just added an elite owner, who is sure to bring multiple Stanley Cups.

They always finish pretty high in scoring. They have 11 potential 20-goal scorers, and I could easily see this team score 300 goals this season. A realistic point estimate for this team is 112 points.

The only team better than this Buffalo team is the 2007 Buffalo team. Their third line was Afinogenov-Roy-Vanek. THIRD LINE. And Stafford was playing like 4th line minutes..

Do I really need to do this IN CAPITAL LETTERS AND BOLD SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THIS?

People who say "I don't get the Buffalo hype" are wrong and stupid and know nothing about hockey. The Sabres are a top 5 lock this year.

I am so keeping this thread bookmarked so I can bring it out in the spring of 2020. They should have won at least five Stanley Cups by then.

Ward is getting a back-to-back start tonight, or so we are told, after 46 saves in last night's OT game. I'm going to pull one out of my *** and just assume that Boucher is not net-worthy at this point in time.

Canes lose 5-1, with the lone goal coming from Slutty, assist by Staal, and the Facebook people pretend that's the same thing as a win.

And BTW: all five goals come in the last 3 minutes of regulation.

The 2011-2012 Buffalo Sabres won't just go down in hockey lore as one of the greatest team of all time, oh no. They'll be right up there along side the 2000's decade-long Bills dynasty. Just a dynamic era for Buffalo sports right now.

Cam Ward gets the start again. He hasn't got a prayer.

But how could we even consider matching the scoring prowess of (ok I really don't know who scores goals on that team).

I pretty much hate Buffalo. I hope Canes are not too tired from the OT win last night to pull out a win up there tonight.

53-0 loss.

Luke Adam breaks out of the slump, scoring 26 goals and adding 26 assists.

Then Miller hits an unassisted empty netter, after the "don't give up" attitude that the Canes have shown lately causes them to pull their goaltender down 52-0 with 30 seconds left.

JR thinks the scoreline is a sign from the hockey gods that Jeff Skinner is a detriment to the team. First day of the offseason, he is traded to the Wild for Matt Cullen and a 5th.

We win the Cup next year.

Is Mike Card in the lineup tonight? I understand he is a go-to guy for the Sabres.

I want to win this game, simply to make the playoff race even funnier.

If we win tonight, and Toronto loses, this is how it'll look:

3rd - Florida - 74
8th - Winnipeg - 72
Washington - 70
Tampa - 68
Buffalo - 68
Toronto - 67
Carolina - 66

If that's not the epitome of mediocre play, I don't know what is. To be 4 wins away from the division lead, 3 wins from a playoff spot, this late in the season, after the start we had?

If we somehow won the next 4 games, the way the schedule shakes out and other teams play, we could be tied for 8th lol.

Note, I have no hope left just saying.

I have a feeling the Eastern Conference is about to get Reggie Miller'd by the 'Canes.

Reggie Miller'd, adj, (Rëh - jee, Mïh - läərd) When a player or team (usually Basketball) Does something hilariously crazy and unlikley in a short amount of time to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds. 1 - Wow, Reggie Miller just Reggie Miller'd John Starks and the Knicks... That was f***ing hilarious. 2 - The Calgary Flames blew a 5-0 lead vs. the Blackhawks on October 12th, 2009. Ya, Chicago totally Reggie Miller'd them. 3 - The Giants were up on the Eagles 31-10 with 8:17 left in the 4th on December 19th 2010 so I stopped watching. Dude, you missed the best comeback ever, Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson totally Reggie Miller'd New York, it was epic. 4 - Did you see the Cowboys beat the Redskins on Monday Night Football last night (Week 2, 2005)? 13-0 with 2 minutes left, so I went for a beer to celebrate. DUDE!!, Mark Brunell and Santana Moss Reggie Miller'd them, 2 TD's on two striaght passes, Washington won 14-13.

Buffalo has played eight games this season against opponents who had played the day before while the Sabres had the day off. They are 7-1-0 in those games. The Canes are 2-6-2 this season in 10 games as the non-rested team.

Will be interesting to see how much jump the Canes have and how long they can maintain it.
