Can't wait to see how awesomely Malkin is going to torch Gustavsson tonight, and how much Thiessen looks like Brodeur out in the Pens' crease.

it is a back to back situation, u should always play ur second goalie, no matter who the goalie is though

why are Pens starting him? and what happened to Johnson

Remember how everyone was getting excited at the thought of Malkin lighting up the Leafs last team we played the Pens?

In that back-to-back situation, he had one goal... Off his shoulder.

Leafs have a good chance at getting 2 points tonight. They've matched up well against the Pens this season and there's no reason why they can't shut down Malkin again. Grabo will be on him like a 5.5 million dollar suit.

Pens want to give Fleury a lighter workload heading in the playoffs, he's logged quite a lot of minutes so far.

And Thiessen is up for a contract I believe, so I think they want to see if he's got anything at this level or not. He won the AHL goaltender of the year last season if I'm not mistaken.

Just about every team in the league would disagree with always starting the backup in a back to back. It's always a case by case basis and if the skaters are fit enough to play two days in row, why would a goalie be unable to do so?

Just a heads up, but anyone who has trouble following the rules, simply won't be permitted to discuss the game in the GDT.
