reimer woudn't have stopped any of those goals either last night. might as well stick with one guy, try to build his confidence for a last shot at playoff spot and if you play gus for most of the end of the season, it will help Burke to make a decision for next year.

I don't think Harding is much of an upgrade over the tandem we have now. If Leafs are going to get another goalie let's hope for a solid one, not another temporary fix

What good players did JFJ trade for? All I know is this guy traded Tuuka Rask, arguably at the time the best goalie prospect in the world, for a piece of garbage goaltender. Then there was the ridiculous Brian Leetch rental, the Perreault trade, the brutal Toskala trade.. JFJ made some awful decisions in his time as GM.

I love Reimer but Gus has been better this season. Carlyle seems to see something in him that he likes, so may as well ride him.

There aren't any rules about being pro-tank.

If it causes a big disruption, then obviously it will have to be curtailed.

But there is this rule:

In other words, if you want to cheer for the Habs and criticize the Bruins, do it on the Habs board.

My post gets deleted for stating that exact same thing but the ones cheering for the Penguins stay.

This!

If people want to cheer for Malkiin, do it on Penguins board.

True, Brad Thiessen was the AHL's Goaltender of the Year in 2010-11. Thiessen posted a superb 1.93 GAA and .922 save percentage in 44 AHL games last season.

Thiessen goes give the Leafs better odds of winning over Fleury, although he is a good young goalie only inexperienced at this point, making his 2nd NHL start.

Playoff teams often coast down the stretch, resting players etc know in long playoff run is a grueling undertaking.

It usually does, especially when people try to be deliberately antagonistic with it, but I don't want to backseat mod so I'll trust your judgement.

Just don't let it get too crazy. :p

You're 100% right. How would the mods at the Pens board feel if I posted " Go Kessel".

Tank or no tank, saying "Go Malkin" means you are cheering for the other team and not a Leaf fan. I don't understand why you have to bring it up when it should be dealt with already.

You left out part of the rule:

Quote:
2) Trolling: Do not post topics with the sole purpose of starting a dispute. Note that a person disagreeing with your opinion is NOT trolling; keep it civil, even if you're sure the other person is wrong. When visiting the team forums please note that they are fan forums for that team and are here mainly for the enjoyment of that team's fans. Do not visit team forums to cheer against or demean their team, or cheer for their opponent. In other words, if you want to cheer for the Habs and criticize the Bruins, do it on the Habs board. And if someone is doing the opposite on the Bruins board, don't start flaming them to defend the honor of your team. Either ignore it respectfully disagree and move on. Wishing illness or injury on someone will almost always be regarded as trolling or offensive. We do not permit any forums to be used to demean/insult the fans of other teams. That is considered trolling. Copying posts from one HFBoard team forum to another for this purpose is considered trolling.
It's more meant for fans of other teams visiting our board.

Like I said, if it causes the thread to go astray, it will be dealt with.

Different situation. You are a Leaf fan, no? You would be an opposing fan entering the Pens board. We're talking about Leaf fans being pro-tank. Saying "Go Malkin" doesn't change one's allegiances.

Pretty simple. If you cheer "Go Malkin" you're a visiting fan. End of story. It's offensive to think otherwise.

Don't you see that the thread went astray long ago? I don't want to come on here and read a bunch of bs from people hoping we lose, regardless of who they cheer for.

There are a few people on this board at least who aren't Leaf fans and troll in here because in fact there is no way of telling for sure unless the person actually advertises that they are a fan of another team.

Pretty sad that a Leafs fan cheering for the Leafs on the Leafs board has to put up with people who think that cheering for the opposition actually changes anything and just irritates those who know the difference and don't particularly care where the draft pick is because they have no control over where the team finishes.
