This is awesome news, but how do we manage expectations on this board?

Id like to see:

Tanguay - Stajan - Iginla
Glencross - Jokinen - Moss
Baertschi - Horak - Nemisz
Kostopoulos - Kolanos - Desbiens

With Baertschi getting PP time with Iginla.

We don't.

Sven dangles through the D late in the third and Friday and sets up Iggy for a Forsberg-esque play, winning the game in the process. Calling it now.

Our expectations will likely surpass his output friday. Nonetheless, Barstchi will be my next Flames jersey.

I would agree with this, I think Nemisz and Bartschi make a good duo, they are both dangerous down low around the net.

You are missing Kostopoulos

and I doubt they break up either of the top 2 lines after their offensive performances Tuesday.

Sven will likely be in the 3rd line with Horak and Kostopoulos

Don't get your hopes up its his first NHL game but that doesn't mean i dont think he will be a great player. I think he will be a stud and will turn out really well. I drafted him in my fantasy league 11 overall and people thought i was crazy taking him over Zibanejad but i think he will be better and i can't wait to see him play. I have liked him ever since he was draft eligible.

My thinking is Sven is a playmaker not much point in playing him with Tko why not give him some more nhl experience around him to help him and give him some players that can maximize his abilities .

My thinking is Sutter has played Tko on the 2nd line this year, so the odds of him playing on the 4th line below AHLer is slim to none.

Thats fine I forgot about TKO so put TKO on the third line and Sven on the second and try to maximize the offensive talent on the team.

Even if Baertschi doesn't meet expectations, at least we can see how close he is to the NHL. This will help Baertschi get prepared for training camp next year.

With the way our games have been doing, he'll probably have a hat-trick in the 1st, and a broken hip in the 2nd.

I'm going to just come out and say it; if we we're the Leafs, this would be front page TSN news. This is a once in a blue moon type of situation, and Baertschi is arguably the best player in the WHL.
