Shutdown the Wheeler line and you beat the Jets, I've noticed.

Should be a fun one tomorrow. I am also down with the "at least one point" for the Jets kind of game.

When I was young, I had seen more Jets vs. Canucks games than any other team. It was a good rivalry long ago. Should be a good one once again.
Enjoyed a few of your players as Manitoba Moose.
Vancouver has a great team. Kesler, Schneider, Edler... very good. I also liked Grabner a lot. Surprised that he got shipped around.

For those who havent seen much of the Jets 2.0 heres a quick rundown.
Pavelec is our team hero by far.
On D, Enstrom and Buff have been one of the most unique pairings. Bogosian is the young up and comer. Stuart is grit and heart. Hainsey and Jones have been steady. Clitsome is the new guy. Liked what i have seen though.
On forward. Ladd Little and Wheeler are on fire right now. As is Kane. Burmistrov is very fun to watch and i think very good defensively. Wellwood is overachieving but the fit in Winnipeg seems right.
Glass Slater Thorburn (GST) are our grinding line. They are gritty together but have been scoring lately.
Stapleton (according to the team skills comp) is one the fastest skaters, and has one hardest and most accurate shots. Antropov is slow but immovable. Mittens, one assist 31 games... still waiting on that first goal... could it be Vancouver??
I will not be holding my breath.

Best of luck.

Rest in Peace R37. Would be hell of a game if he was still here.

Great GDT... nice seeing Bure, Linden, and McLean to lead it off. I remember watching some epic battles between the Canucks and Jets..hopefully this picks up where it left off.

Amex line back together! Lapierre and Kassian reunited! Tanev back in the lineup! Schneider playing (not as if Luongo had been bad)!

Is it true the witch has called for a VCR - JETS 7 game SCF???

Lived in Wpg 87-90, was still cheering for Van of course, but Jets were a close 2nd. Glad to see they have a team back.

If that were even close to being true, we wouldn't have won hardly any games this year.

I'm a little worried about the MAG - Tanev pairing, scratch that, I'm worried about MAG. WTF was he doing hanging out behind the opposition's net last night? He's leaving his defensive partner completely vulnerable/exposed when he does that. He sort of seems to do whatever he wants... A little more defense and a little less pinching please.

Anybody know when Ballard's gonna be back?

Hey Canucks fans, genuinely appreciate the kind words and well-wishes that I've heard from your fanbase since the return of our team.

I'll admit, I hated the Canucks when I was a kid (those '92 and '93 series...), but I've softened since the Jets v1.0 departed, to the point where I'll be pulling for ya for the rest of the season and in the playoffs. Just not tomorrow night, because we need those damn points!

Here's hoping for a good game.

Win or lose, tomorrow should at least be a fun game.
I still wake up in a cold sweat thinking about Jim Sandlak, and how he destroyed the Jets in 1992.

I love the Canucks because I loved the Moose. I still have my Bieksa Moose card up beside me next to a signed Tiger Williams picture and my framed Bure and Linden stuff. You might have seen me around this part of HF last year but I was fairly quiet.

I would be gracious for a point from this game and I hope you guys can win it all this year. I'll be cheering for us both.

Coach Vee on his time as head coach in of the Mooses.

Misses the -40 and plugging the car in (much laughter ensues). Excited to see the NHL back in Winnipeg.

I wish...
Gonna be another three point game, where the Canucks play goddawful hockey but manage to get a point or two.
I really hope this game doesn't make me want to turn off the TV in disgust like the last couple...

Good luck guys. I generally have no "hate" for the Nucks. My "hate" is for the Alberta and Ontario teams, Nashville and Phoenix. I'm okay with a three point game, as long as we get the two
