And if someone is doing the opposite on the Bruins board, don't start flaming them to defend the honor of your team. Either ignore it respectfully disagree and move on. Wishing illness or injury on someone will almost always be regarded as trolling or offensive. We do not permit any forums to be used to demean/insult the fans of other teams. That is considered trolling. Copying posts from one HFBoard team forum to another for this purpose is considered trolling.
Some of you would do well to remember that a few bad apples (fans) don't spoil a bunch. Just because someone has posted something you find disagreeable on another board is no reason to start tarring and feathering the entire fanbase.
Leave posts on other boards exactly where they are. Do not make sweeping generalizations about other fanbases. Failure to do so will result in infractions.
I still wake up in a cold sweat thinking about Jim Sandlak, and how he destroyed the Jets in 1992.
Might have been a Jet that Sandlak hit into a cameraman who was filming near the end of a bench with no glass between him and the play. Ever heard of getting "scoped"? That's when an inexperienced shooter fires a high powered rifle with a scope on it and the recoil cuts the shooter over his eye. That's what happened to the cameraman that Sandlak hit the player into.
Always loved Sandlak, although he tended to run hot and cold. But when he was throwing his weight around he was awesome.
lol yeah we are in a bit of funk the last 4-5 games, hopefully that dallas whippin' we got will wake up this franchise for this game, at least for pride's sake!
I figured out how the game should go. Make it a 5-4 OT game, not sure who wins one way or the other since I love our Canucks but the Jets could really use the points, especially since Buffalo beat us.
Have each team get 40+ shots on net that way you can't say the goalies were bad and for us, give the Sedins a couple points, Kesler line with another, and maybe Hansen or Kassian too. Or maybe give MAG a point somewhere along the lines. An all around good and entertaining game where the offense for both sides were clicking.

I think the inexplicability(?) is an attempt/experiment to slow the game down to prevent head injuries.

Evgeny Davydov was the unfortunate Jet on the end of that hit. Remember that clearly, it was a turning point in the series.
TBH, I wouldn't mind losing in OT if we dominate because it's a win-win for me. I really want to Jets in the playoffs, and they desperately need some points. Us on the other hand, regain our form, dominate, but just can't come through in the shootout or something. Either way, everyone's pretty happy.

Pretty sure Manny takes majority of draws then him and Lappy just switch as they go up the ice. I don't know to be exact, don't pay close attention to stuff like that.

Yeah Friedman was speculating that on the radio today, and I'm totally cool with it tbh, I don't want to see anyone get knocked the eff out. But god damn, if the rules are changing, tell the teams FFS.
Unfortunately I can't like the Jets at all anymore. I have a bunch of family from Winnipeg and we all grew up hating the other team. And now that the Jets are back I get to hear even more of the hate. Although to be fair, I was part of the problem which caused such hatred for both sides. As a young Canuck fan living in Winnipeg I may have crossed the line a few times in trashing the Jets too.
Now it's just a built up history among us of hating the other team. Too much of the Canucks are classless, diving biters that are the worst thing to happen to hockey, from too many Jets fans that I've come to hope for them to lose every game they play!
I hope we shut them down, beat the crap out of their team, and play a huge part in them missing the playoffs! Yup, I've built up quite the hatred for them out of this life-long rivalry (going back to 1980 now). I know that my Jets-loving family members wish even worse things for the Canucks, so I have no problem hating that team!
Needless to say I have a lot invested in this game. Don't want to go a year hearing how the "mighty Jets with the best fans in the NHL" beat up on the evil Canucks who all deserve to be shot for the betterment of the hockey world!
You do realize that Jets 2.0 is not Jets 1.0 right? I don't understand why anyone would hate the Jets 2.0 just because they hated 1.0. They are not the same team. Jets 1.0 are the Coyotes.
And the Jets fans are the best in the league. Hands down. I've been to both arenas and the atmosphere in MTSC is vastly superior to Rogers Arena. Jets fans will go out and celebrate together and don't riot. I love both teams, but Vancouver fans don't even come close.

Having Roloson as a goalie in Tampa helps a lot The teams score a lot of goals. And the Jets like scoring and giving up a lot of goals against the Flyers. It's a wtf every game against them. And then there are games like the Jets 7-0 game against the Panthers.
I would like an OT game. Best of both worlds. Want the Canucks to get out of their funk, but the Jets need the points way more than the Canucks.
