It's nights like tonight that I question why I root for the Isles. We suck. Come on hockey gods, do us a favor and give us the #1 overall pick.
If you ladies and gentlemen would become Devils fans, perhaps together we could outnumber the Rangers as MSG and make that a second / third / whatever home arena?
Had a bad feeling about this one. I don't know what our record is after a few days off, but I feel like it's not good. It's not looking like I'm going to watch the recording.
Regarding the discussion from earlier in the thread, I can state my feeling on the subject as this: Playing important games now and in the playoffs is good for the development of the top players we already have on the team now. Considering we have some very important players (Tavares, Hamonic), I'd like them to get that kind of experience. There's only so long you can "lose to win" without a culture of losing setting in.
Can we go back to the top line we had in January yet?
Moulson-JT-KO
Ullstrom-Nielsen-Bailey
Nino-Cizikas-Parenteau
Pandolfo-Reasoner-Martin (I like Martin better on the right side)
(Or a bottom-6 of this)
Martin-Cizikas-Parenteau
Nino-Reasoner-Pandolfo
Spreads the offense around a bit. Martin deserves a chance at a higher line at some point, as well. He's got a good wrist shot and actual net front presence. Still a ****ing brutal mix, but it's what we have to work with.
I'm pretty sure I'll watch the 3rd game and skip this one. Looks like we got dominated by a larger strong skating forward with a wicked shot who decided he'd come to play today.
Ah, reality finds our club wanting again. Not much I would want to add here ecxept Nabster looks awfully mediocre all of a sudden, our defense proves it is in fact a giant pile of poop, our coach lauds the defense proving he knows poop about hockey, and we had to watch a boring game just to get here.

And please stop defending Wang for making us watch this garbage this year, and probably next year too.
It's not just the Defenseman who are bad its the whole team defensively. The offensive players don't get back and they don't pick up anyone. Parenteau had an awful game.
This was the first time in a long time that I actually turned the game off. Sometime in the 2nd period I just got fed up. If this is the effort they're going to put forth when it's do or die, then I'll find something better to watch on TV.
I hate the Rags as much as the next person--- and senseless fights in the game--- but at least they have balls !! Thank you Isles brass for giving us a team of marys !!
Islander fans. I can visibly feel your pain as a devil fan. Wang is approaching Donald Sterling levels of infamy with this joke of an organization. The highlight of the season can't be the cheesy draft party the islanders unveil every year. Hope it gets better.

Yea, too bad the Holiday Yule Log isnt on till December !

I cahl this play da Lobster's claw. We got a kid from over seas in New Hampsha here so maybe one of you Boston boys can translate for him. It's similar to our other plays like the bean pot, the lobster pot, crab roll, clam roll, clam digger, bearded oyster, and my favorite, the bah hahbah.
That's awful, frustration can take over but that kid deserved to get mauled.
That's a very little kid that is throwing a massive hit at a cat with somebody actually recording it (and then making it available to the world somehow.)
The kid doesn't deserve to get mauled. Somebody didn't exactly teach the kid how to act around animals (and they probably didn't teach them how to act around people either.) At that early of an age, kids are learning mostly by watching. The kid already learned how to aggressively hit a cat that seems to be passive at that point, even if the cat already protected itself.
At worst, maybe the child learns a lesson that nobody else is teaching them.

...and that's my off-topic post for the thread.

Ugh, just like Chairman Wang and his little helper Garth Snow. They didn't teach their young Islanders how to act in the NHL ...

Thankfully, some of them grew up a little bit before they fell under our supervision. As sad as it sounds, our team probably relies on strong parenting and prior coaching more than any other team in the league. Actually, I'm pretty sure that "probably" isn't even needed in my last sentence.
