This team is deflating in such a large way. The best thing Burke can do now is to just sail it into June 22nd and hope his ship doesn't completely sink.

This is how a team pretends its not tanking. Makes injuries seem more than they are so that we have an excuse to drop down a few spots. This bodes well for us. Top 4 pick coming for us. Hopefully we win the draft or move up to 2nd.

Poor guy. Hope he heals well and quicky!

4 injuries in 2 games. It would've taken A LOT for a healthy team to claw their way back into a playoff spot. With players dropping like flies at this time of year, they stand no chance. They don't even need to TRY and lose games for a better pick, that's just how things will unfold naturally. Well, for once I can actually get excited about draft day.

So now we are out Lupul, Franson, Brown, Armstrong.

Maybe with all the injuries we can start winning again.. Oh wait we still have Lombardi.

This organization has a knack for screwing us over. Even if we finish fourth, I'm still not convinced that Burke won't move that selection. I'll believe it when the scouts are walking up to the podium.

The hang up in the Nash deal was Gardiner. I'm sure they would be willing to bend on that if the leafs are offering a 4-6 pick.

We can only call up a player now as an emergency injury replacement....so we can call up one player until one of the 4 returns.

We are all out of call ups.

Actually at this point we can't call someone up. Lombardi would have to step in for Brown, and Schenn for Franson. Only if we get another injury on top of that can we call someone up.

There is one other option. Im not sure how the rules work, but im wondering if we could sent down Ashton, and then since we would be under the limit, we would have to call someone else up. But of course I doubt the Leafs would have played Ashton yesterday if he was going down any time soon

They should sign Boyd Devereaux to put up another hatrick on the last game of the year and push us out of a lottery pick.

Hope he's fine, hate to see any sort of serious eye injury. I only caught parts of the game, don't remember seeing Franson out there, how did this happen?
