Wouldn't be surprised of they go 11-4 just to Fuk with us and finish a close 9th

Operation tank going according to plan. Kessel and Grabo still getting points while team tanks win, win and win.

it's amazing that for 7 years of absolute garbage hockey (and inability to break the top 20 in the league for the past 4), the best this team has accumulated is a decidedly average to bad prospect pool, a soft goal scorer, an overpaid porous defence, no goalies to speak of and the most expensive admission price in the entire league.

As much as a good pick would be, I find it really depressing this team is still a lottery team.

I wish this team would tank, but I see them making a big push when the playoffs are finally officially out of reach and getting another mediocre pick. It's sad. Longest streak in the NHL without playoff hockey? This is way past unacceptable.

1st goal: soft play by Liles
2nd goal: soft play by Bozak
3rd goal: stinker by Gustavsson

pretty much sums up the season

Agreed. The effort was there by the Leafs tonight, considering it was the second game in back to back nights, considering the injuries and all, it was a decent game. Gustavsson is still the same putrid pile of **** he was under Wilson though.

Timmeh didn't get any points that game but in my mind he was games first star for saving the tank.

One was weak but to quote the coach "goalie doesn't have to win us games, just keep us in them". The team had a lot of opportunity to win this game.

Too bad...

We played well for 4 months, then we disappeared for the last month and a half. Literally. An AHL team would have done better.

they had me a little concerned for a minute there that the tank wasn't going to be as great as it could be. But then they really showed up in the 3rd and put my mind at ease.

Wait, what? A coaching change doesn't fix bad goaltending?
