Schneider isn't eligible for team elected arbitration. So no, he can't. Schneider is very much susceptible to offer sheets if he wants to be.
Not quite true. Vancouver cannot elect to take Schneider to arbitration until July 5 when they will have a 24-hour window to do so. If Gillis doesn't want to risk Schneider receiving and potentially accepting an offer sheet (which, yes, Vancouver could then match), either Schneider will have to accept his qualifying offer (which ain't happening) or they will need to re-sign him before July 1.
TSN analysts see Lu going to Toronto.. I hope so too
It really seems like the more logical fit anyway. Burke is probably done if he doesn't get to the playoffs next year. Even though he doesn't like long contracts, he might be seeing it as a necessary pill to swallow, given he's already in last chance saloon up there.
Plus they have the invaluable Schenn and Kadri as trade pieces
I believe he was an actor on the high profile show known as "Full House". I hear he plays hockey in his spare time. Makes sense he would play for Tampa since they're bleeding money and can't sell out the arena
I'm a Canuck fan not living in Vancouver. I do see Luongo being traded as mentioned before. I do see interest in him. I do not see VL coming back if from TB. I also don't see guys like Hedman, Connolly involved. I'm not sure what to expect if he goes to TB which Luongo would like- SY may have other ideas or other teams may offer more that are acceptable to Luongo. I would expect a draft pick or 2, a decent prospect or player and possibly a mild bad contract but I do admit- I'm not sure what the trade would involve. Certainly not high end players. and not Vl.
