Amazing...people are ALWAYS saying wins are completely a team stat..until it justifies their position. For the 3rd time, you can't win if you dont score.

Sorry this is coming out of left field.... I read that Hamilton is about 20th in AHL attendance. On the eve-game of their debut on the Montreal airwaves, could you see this team moving to Montreal in the near future. T.O.'s doing it. The AHL is about to get major exposure is.

So its Ellis fault that the puck took an unreal, never anticipated bounce off the boards? Please.....it was a once or twice in a season thing. Same thing would have happened to Danis had he been in that exact situation.

Well, Patrick Roy wasn't taken over Craig Billington or Darryl Reaugh, and look how that turned out.

You just never know how a player will adapt to his team and surroundings, because that can affect his mentality greatly, as well as a multitude of other factors

Gee, I wonder why? Maybe because Steve Ott is playing with 2 of the top AHLers in Ward and Plekanec, has 3 pts in in 13 games this year yet keeps getting 1st line ice time, 1st unit PP time and is on the ice in the dying seconds of the game.

Maybe because Hamilton players have no faith in Ellis so they play a more conservative game ?

Danis hasn't lost in regulation in his AHL career, has been awesome and he's stuck in a freaking goalie platoon. How much sense does that make ?

And before the Dan Ellis fan club jumps on me, I admit he is NOT to blame for tonite's loss. That doesn't mean he should have started the game in the first place.

I don't care, I'm sick of the team losing every time he's in net. Why must you keep posting about the Dan Ellis Fan club. You don't understand it's not your team that keep losing. I'd be saying the same thing if it was Michaud in nets, wondering why he keeps getting ice time.

As opposed to Kostitsyn who has 4 points in 13 games, and won't go to the net and cause hell like Ott? Like I said, the reason Ott was out there was probably to get in front of the net.

Chaos, it looks like many people here think that some of the Dallas Stars players are the weak links. Maybe Daley is next?

I'd be curious as to what kind of offence that's been provided to Ellis during the teams losses with him in net. It certainly doesn't seem to be much from what I recall. Maybe Jarvis should give more leeway to the Offence? Damn, I'm talking Jarvis here.

Well with the NHL not playing, Hamilton and Houston are esentially Stars fans teams. Tell me, tonight, was it Ellis fault the team lost? Its a simle YES or NO question.

Nah, from what I have read, most of them love Daleys rushes up the ice. Probably not something most of them(or anyone else for that matter) see very often.

Please, explain to me how stopping every shot on you(while in net), and having one ridiculously fluky goal, and your team NOT SCORING, makes it his fault?

Yeah. I'm all for players learning to play both ends of the ice, but if you have players with a god given talent to put up numbers, the coach should allow them do so. I would hate to see these guys making the Habs and all they know is playing defence and the trap. I hope Doug isn't trying to turn this team into clones of himself.

I'm not trolling. I am just trying to find a way why many people here are not blaming their own offence! Instead, they choose to blame Ellis and Ott. It's illogical. I'm just contributing to the discussion.

Ties also get a point. Funny how every time Ellis plays we lose.
