It's a bell curve judging against other NHL refs, poor and excellent are not handed out lightly.
Skaters:
Rooney excellent
Dwyer excellent
Sutherland very good to excellent
Watson very good
O'Rourke very good
Rehman very good
McCauley very good
Morton very good
O'Halloran good to very good

VanM poor
Leggo poor
LaRue poor
Devorski poor
Some of the new guys are in the good to very good range, but I haven't pegged them yet relative to the other guys. Some of the older guys have tailed off and I need to catch them when their legs start to go. Dwyer, O'Rourke, Sutherland and Rooney are hardly ever on the west coast. I am pretty sure that Leggo is based out of SJ. LaRue, Vancouver. Watson is probably the best skating western ref.
I meant in terms of overall calls during the games, but this is good info. Thanks.
well, you need speed in the lineup TJ is faster than the other options
You need someone with some offensive ability, TJ is better than the other options
You traded away a better player for him, TJ should get a chance
Hes better than TM
That's true I personally think Winnik has just picked up the nuances of the system quicker, a birds eye view might help TJ. I wish it was Zus but oh well.

No problem. Same goes for call levels. We haven't had a lot of games with moderate to heavy callers. Furlatt and Auger are aggressive callers, but we have to see games where they are senior and on the west conf. Furlatt is pretty much east coast and Auger is slightly east. Again Watson stands out as the caller are on the west conf but we get a lot of LaRue and Leggo who are extemely reluctant callers.
He'd be a great third line/2nd line tweener and coach misuses him and outright scratches him. McClellan probably got an angry text from Sacco for using him right.
What'd I tell you guys? In the last gdt, I said Galiardi was gonna get healthy scratched sometime during the road trip for skating fast and playing hard. I didn't think it was gonna be the first game of the road trip though. Sometimes I hate it when I'm right.
McLellan fired after the second period.
Interim coach is an upside down mop.
Mop wins its first game as a head coach following largest comeback in team history.
I think of this years scapegoats I think Zus is the one that needs to be scratched. Mitchell has been steady, White is getting better and Zus has just gotten progressively worse.
i dont know the details, but colorado may have packaged him as a potential personality concern, just with the bad year he was having and problems with the coach. DW saw potential so said yes.
i dont think we asked for him specifically though.
and for the sake of the thread he hasnt officially been scratched yet.
Please. I am far from a Mitchell supporter, but even I think he's gotten a but too much hate around here for how well he's played lately.
For every five things Mitchell does right, he'll butcher one great scoring opportunity in hilarious fashion, and that's what the fans remember. I'm with you though, I think he's been very solid as of late.
Avs fan. Has Gali been playing terrible or something, or has he gotten to McLellan's wife already?
I loved the trade not because we got McGinn (who is awesome btw) but because TJ was going to get a chance to prove himself... which I guess isn't happening.
