Stempniaksen's First Round Mock Draft - Version 1

I had some time to kill this morning so decided to throw something together. I'm not going to pretend I know a ton outside of the first round this year, but figured I could get by!

1. Columbus: Nail Yakupov (Obvious choice here, clear cut BPA)
2. Edmonton: Ryan Murray (Pass on uber talented Russian for help on D)
3. Montreal: Mikael Grigorenko (Big talented center, BPA and huge need)
4. Carolina: Alex Galchenyuk (Most talented player on board, CAR likes F's)
5. NY Islanders: Matthew Dumba (Organizational need on D, best on board)
6. Minnesota: Jacob Trouba (BPA that also fills a team need, minute muncher)
7. Toronto: Radek Faksa (Huge riser will play a major role on Leafs team)
8. Anaheim: Griifin Reinhart (Future shutdown stud to pair with Fowler/Schultz)
9. Tampa Bay: Morgan Rielly (Ying to go with Hedman's yang, elite puckmover)
10. Buffalo: Filip Forsberg (Need a center, but can't pass on Swede outside top ten)
11. Washington: Sebastian Collberg (Could be huge steal playing on Backstroms wing)
12. Calgary: Zemgus Girgensons (Future Jokinen type player for older roster)
13. Winnipeg: Brendan Gaunce (Future Scheifele/Gaunce tandem could do wonders)
14. Washinton: Cody Ceci (Will make a great complement to Carlson/Alzner pairing)
15. Los Angeles: Pontus Aberg (Get a good winger to pair with center depth)
16. Florida: Olli Maatta (Grab the BPA at this spot who will support a strong d-unit)
17. San Jose: Derrick Pouliot (Will need an eventual Boyle replacement, also BPA)
18. Phoenix: Teuvo Teravainen (Another riser that the 'Yotes are happy to grab)
19. Dallas: Brady Skjei (Have a need on defence, and this offensive D fills it)
20. Ottawa: Slater Koekkoek (Replenishes D after Rundblad trade with #4/#5 D)
21. Chicago: Andrei Vasilevski (I didn't want to go G here, makes too much sense)
22. New Jersey: Stefan Matteau Tomas Hertl (Will take chance on boom.bust player)
23. Boston: Matt Finn (D is still a need and Finn is the best on the board. #4/#5)
24. Philadelphia: Martin Frk (Will take a shot on underachiever this late)
25. Buffalo: Jordan Schmaltz (Sabres add a defenceman to their young stable)
26. Pittsburgh: Andreas Athanasiou (Can he translate talent to NHL level?)
27. Tampa Bay: Malcom Subban (If this pick isn't traded for a G it will be used on G)
28. Vancouver: Colton Sissons (Will play a Kesler-esque role for this team)
29. St-Louis: Stefan Matteau (Screams Blues pick, plays a power game)
30. NY Rangers: Thomas Wilson (Rags grab the safe pick, Wilson will be an NHLer)

Thoughts? Questions? Comments? Don't flame too hard!
