I want to finally purchase this photo. It means so much to me, as Savard was, and still is, my favorite Bruin. Does anyone know where I can buy a print of this?

Thanks!
That was one of the best games I've seen in my life. Story book ending to. Shame we couldn't pull off game 7. You can try any print shop, the should be able to blow it up if you have a high-res picture.

Yeah, I know it's an AP photo, though, and that's copyright infringement. Soooo, I really wanted to find the source, but it's been a fruitless effort. :\
I know this is going to sound really cheesy, and cliche. But my god did anyone have more fun playing the game than Marc Savard? That picture sums him up so perfectly. He LOVED playing, and I really believe he LOVED playing in Boston.
If Associated Press is the copyright's holder, and I am pretty sure they are, you can order it directly from them in any size you want, and even framed.

Just take it to a print shop, the guy making minimum wage there doesn't give a crap if it's a copyrighted image.
She could do that. Any of us could. But it looked to me like she wanted to do it the legit way so I got her the info

Savard wanted to do something nice for the Bruins' faithful -- scoring an OT winner wasn't enough? -- so he threw his stick into the crowd. They threw it back.
"I thought it was a treat for somebody because they had been great all night but that person threw it back," Savard said. "I went off to do the Three Stars and all of a sudden I had my stick and I thought, 'Geez, maybe my head, there's something wrong here.' I got it back. They probably thought I made a mistake but that was actually a gift for somebody. Thanks for giving it back."
The year end official team photo for last year (with the Stanley Cup) was in one of the many Championship books I bought recently, and Marc Savard is in it.
Christ... it just about brings tears to my eyes to look at Marc Savard. You can tell that although he's happy to be with his hockey buds and all, it is just killing him that he wasn't able to play last year. And the look on his face is awful... he's pretty dour as his career may be over.
Jeez I feel so bad for the guy. Even if it weren't with the Bruins, I'd love to see him play in the NHL again. That photo of him whacking his stick on the ice just before he threw it into the stands is IMHO an iconic photo. The amount of joy on his face is completely off the charts. I hope in time that he'll be okay, even if he doesn't play hockey again. Aside from being a great hockey player, the guy was just a total class act during his time in Boston.

**** I miss him.
You knew something special was going to happen when you heard a guy like Savard, not known for being a team guy, refer to his teammates as a, "family". You just didn't know when.
Do a place like this http://www.canvas4life.com/Prices.aspx They take your picture and put it on a canvas. It looks AWESOME. Also check daily deal sites like Eversave and Living Social. They frequently have canvas/framing deals.
I'll never forget that, i was there with some friends. The crazy thing was tickets were DIRT CHEAP for that game. For 8 mid row balconies near center ice is was about $50 a ticket the night before. You could get $30 tickets if i remember correctly. It was a Saturday matinee too so i had banked on tickets being an arm and a leg. I had been looking for a pair of tickets, found you could buy lots of 8-15 of them on stub hub for these cheap prices, got 7 other buddies together, rented a Tahoe, left early, pregamed the way up a little bit, go to the game, and the rest is history! If' i'm not mistakened the bruins had been up 4-1 that game and blew it. I remember when Savvy scored that and everyone was yelling "THAT WAS SAVARD!!!"
The only other Savard goal that tops that for me is a few years before when Boston was the 8 and Montreal was the 1 seed. Montreal up 2-0 in the series, went to game 3 in Boston, and Savard scored in overtime right by us in corner Loge to win it. Schaefer to Wideman to Savard. Again will never forget that.
Oh and there also was the game 6 in that series, i seem to remember that game being a good one . . .
As far as prints go, i dont know who makes them, but there's a sports store in the Providence R.I. mall that sells tons of prints for around $20. I actually have this exact one. When i get home i'll read the back and PM you the maker of it.

I still get chills watching either one of these. What an amazing player and a great Boston Bruin. I'm so sad we can't see any more of these goals from him... maybe one day.
