Posters (Poster) are mad were not tanking for a lottery position at this point? That's the most pathetic thing I've read on these boards.

Bad feeling about this one, expecting a Stamkos hat trick

Get it done. Ovi needs to be the best player on the ice tonight, not necessarily a ton of goals, but his energy and compete level need to be through the roof to set the tone for the rest of the team early.

We need this guy back big time..

I agree. We really do need the best player on the team back on the ice. Nicklas Backstrom.

Welcome to Hockey's future....

Where fans would rather lose today for a draft pick that will likely bust tomorrow.

Keep waiting on them to put it together, but I feel another nail in the coffin coming....

Let's be reality, anyone who saw this team "going places" by doing nothing at the TDL are clueless homers. This isn't the high firing Caps that could come out of nowhere and steal games by scoring 3 goals in the last 5 minutes of a game. This is a team of passionless players who appear to be "trying" a new system basically every week. Blowing it up and "losing" on purpose is to many, the smart thing to do, instead of...you know...losing while doing nothing to improve. Which is what's going on right now. "The future" is all we have, because "now" is absolute dog ****.

If we win tonight, we still have a shot at making the show(especially if jets and cats lose). If we lose, call up Holtby and let him get some NHL starts since the season is more or less done (Especially if the Jets and Cats win their games).

Hoping we at least have a good showing tonight. Go CAPS!

Vokoun was first off the ice this morning so I'm assuming he'll get the start.

If it's any time it would be today. So it isn't going to happen.

Last game he ruins a nice scoring opportunity running over ward AND gets a penalty for it.

Then plays stupid when he takes a huge swing at a bouncing puck leading to a breakaway and a goal.

And then he gets too far in the zone and wrong-sides a scrum on the boards which leads to an odd man rush and an overtime loss.

The guy basically gave up 3 goals in favor of the Canes and he doesn't get scratched.

I guess everyone has bad games, but he lost the caps a point that could be decisive in the playoff race.

I wanted Wides to sit a game. Last game was downright awful. It's like he was drunk. Hell if he was that would be a valid excuse.

Lest us not forget, he played for Dale in London. The best lawyers don't know the laws, they know the judge.

I actually liked Hammer's game, but thought for sure he was getting traded being scratched. Little did I realize Sarge had quickly stolen his spot, the feeble attempt to move him for a roster player, a pipedream with the "value" George requires. Dale may be feeling the need to make an example out of disrespecting the coach. That may be over thinking it, as George set the table with 5 good young defensemen and 3 vets.

If we lose tonight I hope Wides plays punch drunk again to see where this goes, and for the comedic value, of course. Last games highlights were tube worthy.

In on season tickets with some others. I have/had tickets for the following games so far:
-Oct. 10th game against TB, Caps won 6-5 in a shootout, this was the game where TV let in a few softies.
- Oct. 22nd game against Detroit, Caps won 7-1, didn't go to game, gave tickets to family members
- Nov. 1 game against Annaheim, Caps won in OT 5-4, they were down at one point 3-0 in this game. This was the fat **** game, where Ovie was seen mouthing this at BB
- Dec. 13th game against Philadelphia, Caps lose 5-1
- Dec. 20th game against Nashville, Caps won 4-1
- Jan. 24th game against Boston, Caps won 5-3, under the weather so I didn't go to this game, gave tickets to family members
- Feb. 13th game against SJ Sharks, Caps lose 5-3
- March 4th game against Philadelphia, Caps lose 1-0
- March 8th game against Tampa Bay, we'll have to see
- March 11th game against Toronto, gave tickets to family members
- March 23rd game against Winnipeg
- March 27th game against Buffalo, gave tickets to family members

Games that I've actually been in attendance so far, the team's record is: 3-3 with two of the three wins being either in OT or via the shootout.

I'll be at tonight's game, therefore I'm predicting the Caps lose tonight.

I'm going to watch.

Not sure why. Maybe OV can steal that magic ring from St. Louis and then his left-wing rushes will become effective again?
