Fun game to be at for my first time back to The Rock in months. My take on the game:
Larsson had a very strong game in all areas. Wasn't perfect, but very good. A marked improvement over recent games.
Top line looked very confident. You could tell early that Kovy really had some jump. Much better than the last game against the Islanders.
Josefson really stood out to me. His skating looked so smooth and his decisions with and without the puck seem to be improving each game.
Sykora is slower in person than he looks on TV.
Tavares is one of the best tight space stick handlers in the NHL.
Hamonic is really good. He stood out the most, to me, of any Islander player.
Got Larssons name and number on my blank jersey. Had to go a period without a jersey and it felt really weird. One complaint I had about tonight is that we were in the Devils defensive end (section 12 row 3) twice and only got to see one goal there; albeit a perfect view of Kovys bomb.
being mentioned once on the nhl page was annoying(you gotta look for it) but the fact the highlights end after it's 2-1 in the middle of the second is what really really really really really drives me nuckin futs

One of the better wins of the season! By the way, did anyone else agree or notice that Stan during the intermission report in the 2nd looked thinner? I hope everything's ok even though we all love making fun of him lol.

Scott Stevens and Aaron Broten are ahead of Parise with 430 points. "I'll have to wait for next year for that. Maybe not. Who knows?"
Wants out. Realized mid-sentence he won't be here to pass any more Devils for franchise pts
Fun fact about his hat trick that most people forget - no one knew he even scored a hat trick at the time and no hats were thrown on the ice.
Madden took a shot from the blueline and Pandolfo had an awesome deflection to put it in the net. No one realized that Pandolfo got a piece of it, as the team celebrated with Madden and he was given credit for the goal over the loud speaker. After the game, the goal was awarded to Pandolfo, officially giving him the hat trick.

If I go through all the programs of games I've gone to, I swear I've seen Pando score more goals than any other player. There was one year where I went to maybe 7 or 8 games and he scored in 5 or 6 with 2 goals in 1 or 2 of them.
Of course towards the end of his contract, his salary was incredibly excessive, but I will always love Pando. He was the man. I'd love it if he retired a Devil.
I had seats in row 21, we moved down to about row 5. So we tossed it to... I guess section 3/2 ? I throw like a girl, and it was a beanie so I doubt my buddy could get it over the net if he tried. I'm pretty sure I saw it on the ice.
Fun fact, I brought that hat for the sole purpose of having a hat to throw if someone got 3. I don't usually wear hats too often.
