(3/8): Datsyuk and Ericsson practicing, Nyquist called up, Zetterberg not practicing
From
Bill Roose :
Quote:
RooseBill: More good news: Pavel Datsyuk has joined his #RedWings teammates in full equipment for today's practice.
Edit: Nyquist has also been recalled as per
TPL .
Roose also says Ericsson is practicing.
Ugh, now Zetterberg isn't practicing, according to
Khan .

Well, Z is battling through the lower leg problem. I could see it just being a maintenance type day since there was 2 days in between games.
Are we to assume Nyquist is up for Z and Zett will be out tomorrow night or does Bert still have his issue?

if Nyquist gets to play Tatar will probably be bummed out that the 2 times he got called up just in case, the injured player ended up playing LOL
hopefully this motivates him to tear it up during the final stretches to get the griffins into the playoffs

Which means Nyquist will be on the 4th line. Honestly, I don't think I've seen a sadder line combinations than in our last game.

#RedWings Babcock on Fri's game: No Nick. No Pav. No Bert. Z's in. No E obviously. No Kindl. Lots of names. It's Nyquist for Conner.
Sum of today's practice.

According to mLive
http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index....rom_pav_4.html
Nyquist skated on a line with Abdelkader and Cleary. Which is considered in the top 6 with the Wings current lineup.

Now I expect they'll just need time to learn each others tendencies on the ice before the can be productive

If he's gets 5-7 minutes on the 4th line, they might as well have kept Conner in the lineup.

Agreed.
Hopefully, Nyquist and Abdelkader can move the puck between the two of them and Cleary can just hobble his way to the front of the net and post his ass there.
