Look at the bright side. Johansen could get extended minutes and a longer look at CENTER

We will get to see just how important Tyutin is to this team. Maybe his loss won't be noticed at all.

Tyutin is likely irreplaceable BUT other guys get a chance to step up and show what they have. Maybe Cody G gets a look. Not a bad thing. He's supposed to be a big time shut down type. Perhaps we can see the wonder that is Teddy Ruth?

These allow the team to play hard, play well and still lose enough to ensure 30th overall.

So, after the 3 game winning streak, the lack of Failin' for Nail was noticed and the gap between CBJ and Edmonton too close, so magically injuries show up!

Fan confidence isn't going to increase if the Jackets win games now.

Try-outs for next season and getting the rookies' feet wet in the NHL is probably the best use of these games.

Probably it's time for Cody to play some NHL hockey. Some of his U. of Wisconsin defensive teammates have already done it.

In scoring department he was right between 2 future (according to NYR and TO fans respectively) Norris candidates - McDonagh and Gardiner. Brendan Smith already played 7 games for Detroit.
Also that would be interesting to extend Big-10 competition inside the team. The jackets already got Notre Dame, OSU and UM representatives.

I'd say beating the Kings is a higher priority than tanking, but Howson was watching Grigorenko last night, so who knows?

While I never want to see players injured it will be nice to see the Johan playing his natural position.
I'm also excited to see how Nikita handles things without Toots. Hopefully he maintains his play regardless who his partner is.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a slight drop off in his play. Learning the tendencies of a new defensive partner can take time. If Nik^2 can't mesh well with ANYONE for the rest of the season we'll definitely have our answer on the communication front.

One proposed lineup I saw had NikNik6 playing with AJ.
