Oilers are not really in tank mode, they are going to destroy Montreal tonight.
7-3 Oilers imo, if Montreal catches some breaks.
Besides, the way this draft is shaping up, only the 1st pick is really a lock. I don't care if the Oilers move down a few draft spots, I'd rather see them close the year out in style.

4-3 in a shootout for the Habs.
hat-tricks for Belanger and Gomez.
Hall falls down on his SO attempt to seal the victory for the Oilers...err Habs.

Habs (and their fans) are in the same place mentally that the Oilers were in 2 years ago. They don't want to win. I rarely make predictions in GDT's, but I will this time: 4-2 Oilers.

No, you're the welcome visitor, and we're the gracious host. Its only fair and right that the Habs get first helping.
ps anybody thinking this thread is surreal should watch the habs jerseys in the crowd cheering on the Oilers and vice versa. Or cheering both, or being bemused and not knowing what to do.
This is a must PVR at least for tracking the strange oddities and weirdest moments.
If Omark gets 20mins tonight and is annointed on the pk you for sure for sure know somethings up. Well, more than it normally is.
Even the postgame interviews should be must see's.

Welcome to the state of hockey as played by Canadian NHL teams.
Its possible that only one team, the Nucks, end up in the playoffs. Its probable that only Nucks and Sens make it.
Its a special kind of sad that 5 or 6 Canadian clubs could be out.

I'd be a lot happier if the oilers were playoff bound, but since they're not, I'll have a little bit of fun with the inevitable to take the edge off.

Not surprising. Outside of Vancouver the vast majority of the legit star power is south of the border. Good ole Canadian boys lurve playing in the US of A.

Canadian teams are under so much pressure to compete that they cant legit be a failure of a franchise for stars hence the situation most are in

Gross! Who has that?
When you reach a point in the season that it is apparent we are not making the dance It seems pretty logical to want to succeed in other areas hence the wish for the best draft position possible.
Would I have loved to go say 24-5-2 over the last 31 games? Indeed.
I start every season with the expectation of glory as most do i suspect.

I think more what moonlapse said. Of course Canadian clubs CAN fail for extended periods of time and for instance the Oilers.
Theres just more *****ing and moaning here, Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Winnipeg, but the butts are still planted firmly in the seats.

Habs fan coming in peace!
Don't worry not coming here to brag that the Habs are the biggest losers on the planet and that we'll be utterly embarrassed tonight... I'm looking up and down your lineup and I can also see some choice AHLers.
It's all about blown coverages, bad changes, and terrible giveways tonight. Good luck!

Uh oh.
Combine Whitney's current form and Potter's ability, and this pairing wont end well.
Poor RNH-Eberle, stuck with Smyth.
Poor Omark, stuck with the Coff.
