Leafs will do this:

Lose three in a row until mathematically out.

And then go about 10-1-1 to end the season, finishing in 9th or 10th with a mid-level first-round pick.

I assume the W stands for worsted, and L stands for last-minute-comeback.

At this point I'm pretty much resigning myself to another season without playoffs.

Can't see us winning many more games with Lupul, Armstrong and Franson out with injuries.

Pretty well time to throw in the towel and hope we get a higher draft pick than usual.

You can only really afford to lose to Philly,NY and Boston. The rest are plausible for wins but its going to be very difficult now

I beleafed up until the Calgary game last month when I personally witnessed that debacle and tore my heart out.

I've also seen this story for pretty much every season since 2006. I've seen the ending, it's not pretty.

The LOWEST point total 8th has had in the last 7 years is 88. That happened once. Given the log jam right now its possible you could sneak in this year with 90.

Can't see this team reaching that though.

If we had managed to get 2 last night in Pittsburgh AND still had a healthy Lupul I might have kept a foot on the playoffs bandwagon. 21 points in 15 games would have been a tall task...but still do-able.

23 points in 15 games WITHOUT Lupul is a pipe dream.

If they go 5-0 on that roadtrip I'll still have hope. Regulation wins of course.

The games against WSH, FLA and TBL will decide our season. Win all 3 and we've got a chance. Lose any of them and were hurting and pretty much done haha.
