Lots of other people (Kovy, Sedins, etc.)

wheres the love for johnny t, not toews but taveras.
soon as he gets an elitle winger to play with him, he'll be a consistent 40-60 player. and no moulson and parenteau arent elite...

I agree with this for sure. Giroux is slightly under Malkin and Stamkos in my book but if he does this again next year I will put him right up there with those 3.

Agreed. Giroux is an excellent player, just a little more time before he joins the elite group.

Imo Dats should be in the group with Stamkos.

Giroux isn't on the same level as Malkin and Stamkos.

Probably, but I didn't want to be too much of a Pens homer and, even though I hate the Wings, I love Dats.

I think Giroux has been just as good as Stamkos this season, but this is the third time Stamkos has put up superstar numbers, that's what it takes to cement a place among the elite few.

Maybe I'm just a biased Isles fan, but at this point I'd place Tavares where you have Ovechkin.

I wouldn't be against that actually. I knew I'd forget a couple.

Just because that big 3 is no more doesn't mean there has to be a new one.
How will I live without the number three?
I'm scared.

You're right points aren't everything and the Sedins don't play defence so Giroux is definitely above them.

Crosby, Malkin, and Ovechkin all had 110 point seasons by the time they were 21. I think people forget just how dominant they were at a very young age. That's why they were the big three. Stamkos is close, but misses IMO. Giroux is not really that close in my mind. Amazing player and top player in the league, but not close to what the big three were.

Shooting:
1. Stamkos
2. Malkin
3. Giroux
Passing:
1. Giroux
2. Malkin
3. Stamkos
Physicality:
1. Giroux
2. Malkin
3. Stamkos
Defensively:
1. Malkin
2. Giroux
3. Stamkos
Don't jump all over me, it's just an opinion. But IMO Malkin is the most balanced of the three, and when I break it down this way, I think Giroux is a little bit more rounded than Stamkos. Giroux does need to put up another big season to solidify his spot though. All three are phenomenal players.
Obviously this isn't everything that makes a player great, but just a few points.
