No strawman here. Bourque makes a cheapshot away from the puck and gets 5 games. Green engages and engaged player who has already admitted to having his head down, and people here are calling for as much of a punishment, if not more, than Bourque.

You should try actually watching the games. Tampa was going after Green's head left and right in the playoffs last year. Just copying the Ranger's philosophy.

I hope Green doesn't get a suspension. He's washed up and is a defensive liability. It'd be nice to see the caps continue to sink because of his terrible play.

The hit Bourque put on Backstrom is almost equal, though the hit is harder the elbow isn't as obvious as the Bourque one,
even if it's right there, in the head.
The real problem i have with this hit is that Connolly is already tied up with another player (when Green comes in, as 3rd man)

Like I've said, I think it was dirty, but why is it that Caps fans never seem to get a hit that goes under the radar while damn near every other team this season has gotten a pass?
its pathetic anyone can even defend this hit. He is being hit by someone else and theres no reason for green to come in with his elbow, all he had to do was throw his hip into him. Cowardly hit on a defenseless player.
