Guys, Green is NOT a repeat offender. Repeat offenders are those who are suspended again within 18 months. His last suspension was 2 years ago.
You seem to be confused about what is meant by "repeat offender". As far as CBA and fines/game checks, Green isn't a repeat offender. As far as things Shanny considers when doling out suspensions, he is.

Green's suspension on Frolik was two seasons ago, therefore technically not a repeat offender for purposes of how lost wages calculated.

But his "history"/NHL rap sheet is still in factor in discipline process. Official repeat offender status means player loses pay by games.

Non repeat offender loses days pay. Difference for 1 game susp is: 1/82nd > 1/185th. Note: the 185 is an estimate. Might be a few days less.

I know what is meant by repeat offender. It is defined in the CBA as you state.
As far as doling out a suspension, he has a history. One that I don't think will have much affect on his upcoming suspension.

So he couldn't possibly face suspension because of the fact that it was a bad hit to the head? It's all because he plays with Ovi and everybody hates him?
He should sit for a long time no need for a hit on a player that was already "hit" and taken out of the play. Targeted the head, and repeat offender.

The Department of Player Safety will hold a disciplinary hearing Friday afternoon with Washington Capitals defenseman Mike Green to review a hit on Tampa Bay's Brett Connolly.
The incident occurred during the second period of their game on Thursday, March 8 in Washington. No penalty was called on the play.
Where was Stamkos suspension for his sucker punch to Brouwer's head a few matchups ago?
We just gonna act like Tampa hasn't had their fair share of cheap shots in matchups this year?
Only person crying is you, bringing up stuff that the league already deemed inconsequential by not even having a hearing on it. They don't change the fact that what Green did was predatory and cheap. Nice to throw out accusations without video evidence too.
You should try actually watching the games. Tampa was going after Green's head left and right in the playoffs last year. Just copying the Ranger's philosophy.

Green actually played in those 4 games? Was he camoflauged?

Also, rule 48 was different last season and the league mandate on headshots and the league didn't even have the office that Shannahan inhabits now. I'll file your post under what "She was asking for it, did you see what she was wearing?"
Remember when St Louis forgot hes a little **** that can't take a hit and tried to hit Brouwer and Brouwer laid him out and Stamkos goes up and sucker punches Brouwer, and Brouwer gets a roughing penalty too on top of a boarding call even though it was shoulder to shoulder counter hit.

So, Super Homer Liberation, I'm sure you can cite multiple instances of suckerpunches leading to suspensions. Start with Horton and Lucic from last season and show me how many times they got suspended for them. How many games?
