Bertuzzi on Moore or McSorley on Brasher?

Which was the worse hit you think?

Obviously the result of the Bertuzzi attack ended up terrible, but the McSorley attack was worse for the simple reason that he used a weapon.

That and the intent to injure was much more obvious.

I don't know. I think that Bert manually drilling Moore's face from behind into the ice and breaking his neck is worse then a blindsided hit to the head with a weapon. Both dirty, but in my opinion Bert's was worse. Partially because he was physically drilled by Bert's own hands.

bert obviously did not mean to break the guy's neck. Mcsorley wound up and swung his stick at a guy's head.

McSorley for the intention, Bertuzzi for the result.

Intent - McSorley
Method - McSorley
Results - Bertuzzi

I'd vote McSorley if I could vote.

It's kind of a toss up as they were both disgusting actions but I think the fact that I grew up in vancouver and had to listen to countless people try and justify what Bertuzzi did has made me hate that one even more.

I really don't think bert wanted to hurt him THAT bad.

obviously he wanted to punch him.. as for the broken neck, he did not mean to do that, I believe the pile up is what caused the broken neck.

but it's been discussed to death.

Agreed, I don't mind people having different opinions it is just having to listen to so many people say Moore deserved it was disgusting and tiring.

Moore didn't deserve it, but calling for something like that to happen occurs fairly often among fans in every city around the NHL. Until, something goes horribly wrong and the player does indeed leave the ice in a stretcher. I mean swinging it back around to Calgary, that very same year in the playoffs on HFBoards there were Flames fans suggesting Alexander Korolyuk should leave the ice on a stretcher because he had the audacity to finish a shot on Kipper after the whistle.

As for the McSorely hit, I was actually at that game live but seemed to be the only one that missed the hit. It's not like I wasn't paying attention, I was following the puck then next thing I know everyone's booing and throwing stuff on the ice.

I never said that Calgary fans or any other fans never say things like that but the fact that those tried to justify it after the fact left a bad taste in my mouth and really soured the canucks for me. I said it was my opinion and I have no problem with people disagreeing its just having people defending what Bertuzzi did just left a bad image in my head about it.

Both evenly stupid, that was a knuckle headed move by Bertuzzi and a brassheaded move by McSorley.

This pretty much. Intention holds a lot more weight on an action than the result though so I voted McSorley as the worst.

Granato on Wilkinson. It makes McSorley look like a love tap.

LOL how does Bertuzzi have 18 votes, probably all Flames fans. Do people not know what McSorely did to Brasher?
