Because HF posters find agitators to be the most valuable players in the league.
Or it could be that people think that Ott is not just an agitator and is more valuable to Dallas than anyone of those people who are familiar with him by all the negative threads on HF. Perhaps also that Ott may/may not have more intangibles and is severely underrated on HF...

Yea I agree Ott is underrated but I would much rather have Glencross and his intangibles over Ott and his.
Ah ok so offense is the deciding factor? So why has Glencross only played 343 games in 6 seasons?
He is a late bloomer who I feel at this point is better than Ott. Just my opinion and I have already admitted to not being able to remove my bias as he is my favorite player.

I understand that! Just out of curiosity is Glencross better than Malkin? I mean if he is your favorite player then surely he would win over any person he was put in a poll with. Also if the deciding factor .14 difference in scoring but yet Glencross has only played 200+ less games than Ott then i don't know what to say.

Nope but when the players are similar it is easy for me to pick Glencross also who cares how many games he has played in the games he has played in he has produced more so I think he is the better player especially this year and he makes less than Ott.
Glencross also gets less pp time than Ott and plays more pk time.
Glencross without a doubt. As solid Ott is as a good 3rd liner, Glencross does it all, in any given situation while providing way more offense and being an elite PKer. I had the take the more smarter and better player over a player whose only edge is toughness.

Exhibit A as to how hockey doesn't matter on ESPN:
Last night an ESPN program was discussing how the Detroit Pistons needed a hero citing the heroes on the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and no mention of the Detroit Red Wings. All this despite the Red Wings probably being the most succesful team in Detroit right now.
