Phoenix was held to one point tonight as it lost the shootout to Minnesota 3-2 to lose the game 3-2. (Seto and Heater with shootout goals.) The Coyotes are one point ahead of eighth-place San Jose in the standings to hold down seventh, and three behind division-leading Dallas, who currently has the third seed.
Sorry guys. Thought my coming back: the shrump would end.
I thought this was the second best game of the year for SJ. (1-0 win vs Flyers recently the best.)
Good game, nail-biting, exciting-edge-of-the-seat-Torrey-with-GOTY-3-ptJoe...etc...
With a lead with 3 minutes left, gotta win.
I'da put Patty in the SO, but you never know with the Rookie.
Oh well, SJ'll win the next 3; you heard it here 1st...
The GDT was all win though, Danno. We still got a point out of it

You're only looking at the rookie aspect. You're ignoring the time of the season. Lindstrom's attempt was in the first month of the season. There is no pressure on him at that point. He also didn't have to come back from getting boarded earlier in the game. It is not even remotely comparable.
Wingels and Moore in the shootout over Boyle and Marleau is an absolutely ridiculous decision. I don't care how bad Marleau has been in the shootout, you don't put a rookie in a clutch situation when he's done nothing anywhere close to what he was asking Wingels to do.
Couldn't agree more.
Was going to make a pithy remark about T-Mac still feeling the effects of the stick to the head, but I just did.
