Hall and Hemsky have obvious chemistry, i thought that line did fine.
The line did better with Nuge and believe it or not Horcoff, see a common theme there? Gagner was the problem on that line as you said. Gagner only seems to have chemistry with Eberle. Gagner and Hemsky together has been proven fail not only this season but in past seasons as well.
Hemsky has looked real good with RNH too but they need a shooter like Hall or Paajarvi on their LW. Gagner has chemistry with Eberle? Not so sure about that. When Hall-RNH-Hemsky line was together, the 2nd line of Smyth-Gagner-Eberle went ice cold for a long stretch. So, either way, someone is going to be damned on that line with Gagner, unfortunately.
Jones has been useless for a while now. Khabibulin was great. Peckham may have ended his Oiler career. Gagner will clearly never win a Selke. Petry wasn't as good as usual but solid nonetheless. Omark wasn't too bad, although I still don't think he has a place on this team.
The boys came through, eh? Biggest game of the season. Show those noobz what tanking really looks like.
Sorry Khabi was not great. The first goal was an open shot from the point. A couple others were pretty weak.
I mentioned that earlier in the thread, Hall is starting to look really apathetic out there and i can't blame him when half the team plays like they don't give a damn.
I'm really concerned that he will want out by the end of next season if the crap show continues. He just wants to win and there is a disconnect with the team because it seems like a lot of the players (mainly the vets) don't have that will to win.
I'm trying to be positive about it. He's just a competitive kid (emphasis on kid) and is acting accordingly
Like Soundwave said, there has to be a concerted effort to legitimately improve the roster in the summer for the sake of the kids. It's hard to believe that we're going to be done with Hall and Eberle's entry level contracts at the end of next season and we're not likely to accomplish anything. So much for following in Pittsburgh and Chicago's footsteps... but that was always a pipedream, anyway.
