I thought the jets looked very good.

So good in fact I have no doubt you guys will make the playoffs.

Speed and skill, and great goaltending, Really nice mix.

At least almost all the other teams lost in regulation as well.

What is it with other Canadian teams? We always seem to have trouble against them.

Plus Mason from up the road in Red Deer.

The next game after tomorrow isn't till Wednesday, it may be worth the gamble.

I don't know enough to say that he should start tomorrow. If he can play at 96% tomorrow, then yeah he should start, since we don't play again til Wednesday. But I've rather have a fresh Mason than an exhausted Pavelec.

It was really noticeable how much the Vancouver D was active in their offense. The forwards get everyone scrambling in their own end and collapsing, the puck goes back to the point and the D just throws stuff at the net like a shooting gallery. When your forwards have that much talent, it works.

Kane's play is very frustrating. Appears to be very one-dimensional. Every time he skates into the offensive zone with the puck, I always feel like I can predict what he will do. In my opinion, I think Burmi and Wheeler are more complete players.

I want Mason to play atleast 2 of the remaining back to backs. A gassed Pavs to close out the season could be bad.

Too much sustained pressure in our end most of the game. Jets didn't deserve to win being outshot so badly. Still, I found myself thinking we would escape with at least a point, but then bam, Pahlsson puts that to rest.

Jones is useless. Has all the time in the world to pass from behind the net and yes, I know he was waiting for a line change, but he still ***** it up and one of the other players had to come back to bail him out.

I really want to belive we can beat the Flames tomorrow but our record in the second game of a back-to-back speaks for itself.

Fingers crossed.

I actually thought he looked much better these last few games before this one. He passed the puck, and his linemates got some great looks because of that. Didn't like his game tonight though.

Edit: On the bolded, hell yeah.

although we lost, there's no doubt in my mind now that this is a playoff team.

IMO Burmi was weak tonight, Kane played like a guy playing for himself tonight.

You guys have a damn good goalie. I didn't know Pavelec was that good, I was impressed.

The biggest threat to the Jets tomorrow is a WHLer on emergency call up and Kiprusoff. If the Jets play to their ability (and they should be desperate enough!) they will have no problem with the Flames!

k.

But it doesn't have to be anything fancy, just: Jets @ Calgary, you have less ten minutes to discuss. GO!

Canucks fan here who comes in peace.

I thought that this was a great game, almost felt playoff-esque. Pavelec was an absolute wall in net for you guys and I was astounded on his great rebound control. I was hoping for a 3-2 Canucks win in OT, as I want you guys to make the play-offs, but I'll be rooting for you against the Flames anyways.

Thing is, we're like 1-9 or something like that in back-to-backs.

I did not think the team overall played well. In spurts maybe , but not overall , at all. Not nearly as good as needed to take 2 points imo.
