if you noticed. when he gets sent down. he doesn't play good. but then is awesome afterwards. he will be great in post season IMO.
Takes a while to get used to playing with AHLers after being in the show. Passes aren't as good nor are the guys you're passing to, players aren't where you think, etc.

Thanks. I get updates on miami games and etc but it's good to hear about him from someone who watches him. Do you usually watch his games or just today?
In either case, hopefully if you can update us on his play if you do continue to watch him.
Been wanting to watch for a while now. I am going to try my best to watch all the playoff games and give updates
Orr's doing a good police job tonight. Jumped in to defender Mikus earlier fighting Henry, and now jumped in to defend Blacker after Ian Schultz gave him a shot from behind.
In the game against Binghamton, he could've easily scored a couple. You could see his confidence was way up; he tried the lacrosse 'hot dog' move from behind the net, and had a nice toe drag on a 2-1, but was absolutely robbed by Lehner. He was also being the little ***** we want him to be; he did a D'Amigo-type headfirst dive into the net to try to get a loose puck, but all he did was rock the goalie.

Hopefully he keeps it up!
He just made a really nice dangle to create a chance coming out of the corner.
Lawson is playing very well in this period for Hamilton.
Here's something I thought of today and thought I would share. A lot of Toronto's prospects are having good statistical years and thought I would check for past successes. This is actually the best statistical year for both the WHL and OHL in the past decade for prospects.
I used the basis of scorers in the top 50 for overall points:
2011: OHL 1 - McKegg WHL: 2 (technically 3 if you include Ashton now) Ross, Nicholls
2010: OHL 2 - Kadri, McKegg WHL - Ross (40th)
2009: OHL 1 - Kadri
Nothing until 2002.....
The point that I'm trying to make is that Burke has come in with an emphasis on scouting and the scouts have done a terrific job. Not trying to pump his tires because the onus is all on the scouts, but its good to have a better direction and finally seeing results from the prospects. Hopefully by the end of next year they can see production from Crescenzi (currently at 82) and Devane (currently at 91). Although not necessary to see from role players, it says something for guys that can do well at the CHL level.

It'd be nice to see the Leafs score some of those universally praised/hyped prospects though, like the way Minnesota suddenly rebuilt their system and now they have these kids like Bulmer, Larsson getting some heady praise along with their first rounders Brodin, Granlund and Phillips getting attention. The Leafs always seem to do fairly well with those max 2nd line/3rd line second pairing defensemen, but never really a gem. Hopefully Kadri, Colborne, Frattin and Gardiner make a great run in the AHL, and we load up on a nice top five pick to get some high end upside into the system. Then if one or two of the the McKegg, Leivo, Devane type characters break in, we'll look even better.

The only thing that bothers me is that this is a top 50 list in a junior league. I didn't look at the stats myself, but I'd imagine Kadri was the most productive on that list, and he's barely cracked the Leafs roster since his draft 3 years ago. It's obviously a good thing that more Leafs prospects are among the leaders in their respective junior leagues than before, but that doesn't really mean much if they aren't going to be impact players at the NHL level.

You are right with Kadri being the highest.
But there's another element that I should point out.
Aside from Kadri, what junior players have you been excited about or atleast shown a glimmer of hope? Its not a telling sign to be amazing in junior(CHL/NCAA), but there is some relation to success there and a smooth transition to the next level.
Actually, I think he has hovered around the .5 ppg mark for much of the season and is still there. Statistically, it seems to me that there is nothing either to get excited about nor to slit one's wrists over in Bigg's production. Whether or not he is developing satisfactorily is not a matter of production but style of play. Since I haven't seen him, I don't have an opinion on that.

He is only get third line mins and producing at that pace which is pretty good. He gets to play on the top PP unit as well on occasion. A lot of the top 6 are seniors in their last year so next year Biggs will have a bigger role in top 6 and should be PPG or at least statistically improve a lot in points.
