While I've always felt that tonight's game was the more winnable game of the road trip, I have to admit I'm not feeling very confident.
For whatever reason, we just don't seem to play well against other Canadian teams. Even teams dwelling in the basement like Edmonton and Montreal seem to have our number.
Toronto didn't have our number.
Of course, they don't have enough people from Ontario on their team, so maybe they don't count?
Was kind of bummed about the final score for a few minutes last night. Then I thought about what the majority of us were doing last year on this date, waiting for news about a possible collapse of the Coyotes negotiations or hoping that another team would fall into our laps. Now here we sit in a playoff race, while conversely other good folks lost their team recently, and the fans in Phoenix are going through a third year of limbo. We are pretty much blessed to be concerned about our position in the standings, at least from my perspective. Anything that follows from here on out is basically a bonus. GO JETS GO!!!!
Hopefully the Flames fans are better then the Nucks fans. Group of my friends at the game last night were surrounded by nucks fans and attacked.
The sad thing is the nucks fans got a beating for it and the Jets fans were tossed out in the 3rd. They had to put up with fans yelling, spitting and throwing beer at them.

I've only ever attended Canucks games as a neutral observer/half-hearted Canuck supporter. I never noticed the crowd to be overly hostile to opposition fans. I'm sure they're not used to the arena being overtaken by opposition fans though. That probably had them riled a bit. I know I was ready to hoist the black flag and start slitting throats when I saw all the Oilers jerseys in Winnipeg last week...and I generally like the Oilers (at least, I can't hate a team run by idiots (*cough* Tambo *cough*) that has been so abysmal for so long).
As for tonight: second half of a back-to-back against a less-esteemed opponent on the road? Yikes! This has heartbreak written all over it...

Yep just talking with a buddy on facebook. They have been to nuck games before as well and have seen alot of opposing teams fans get the beef from "nuck fans"

Most Flames fans I know will root for Jets if Flames don't make it.
I like our chances tonight against the flames. It gets tight now, i think by mid next week us flroida and washington are all on the same page as far as games played, lets hope were in the playoffs at that point.

Reason: QDP
I'm pretty nervous and shakey about this game. A Jets win could set the stage for a nice little run to a play-off spot for the remainder of the season. Otoh, I'm afraid a loss could be a back-breaker for the team. For some reason I'm not feeling super confident right now...
My co-worker is from Calgary. NEED THE JETS TO WIN THIS ONE.
I'm going to predict we will win this one 4 - 2. Ladd with a pair, Byfuglien and Slater will do the scoring. Flames won't get on the board until we're up by 3.
I still haven't forgiven him for scoring the very first goal against us
Flames are major hurting right now. Cammy is out, Backlund, Stempniak, Butler, Comeau, Jackman, Jones, Byron. Even the call ups are getting injured.
So yeah, guys like Desbiens are in......
Keep an eye on Bartschi - it will be his first NHL game, and he's tearing it up in the WHL.
Been waiting for this game since the Jets left. Sucks that I have to wait another year before I can be there!
I don't have the Jets channel and can no longer catch Flames games on Sportsnet West , so what are my options?
