NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

It’s frustrating, obviously. We just have to play better and support each other more in the neutral zone and play straight ahead.
We have to play together as five.
- Marian Gaborik

We didn't score enough, and we just made a couple of mistakes that ended up in the back of our net.
For the most part of the game I think we defended well, but obviously we didn't do enough to win the game.
- Brian Boyle

The first period, I thought we played a good first period, we turn the puck over and it ends up in the back of the net twice.
I think we’re beating ourselves in a game and finding ways to lose right now.
We’re going to continue to work on our game, try to chip out the mistakes and see if we can get a little bit of traction here.
- John Tortorella

This season has turned from elation to pure dejection .
NYR have 2 fourth lines a second line and a third line , no legit in your face honest top 6 threats , all are wildly inconsistent at scoring goals

More grinders and converted D men please !!!!
NYR have a lot of pie in the sky prospects but a wretchedly horrible AHL call up pool .
Honestly can't see a reason why Torts the Clown doesn't get it that our bottom six can't score and our top 6 is too easily neutralized .

I think the panic has to do with h fact that despite only losing 2 straight the team has not looked well or played a complete game in about 10 excluding the BOS game and That was a gift from Newt Gingriches campaign manager Timmy

Funny. How some people forget that PIT was on a 7 game losing streak before their winning stream. We just need to snap out of it.

Agreed. This is a good hockey team and we're hitting a bit of a rough patch scoring. I'm just happy it's happening now with 16 games left and not right before the playoffs. Let's get this bad stretch out of our system and start playing some good hockey before the playoff's.

The Rangers haven't scored 5 goals in one game in 14 games. That should tell you all you need to know.

Glad I didn't watch last night and won't be watching tonight. Regardless, I hope they can pick up the pace soon. It'd be a shame to crash and burn leading into the playoffs.

Blown lead against OTT at the Garden: 5-4 (F/SO) on Oct 29.

Kind of nit-picky because it wasn't really 5 in-game goals that went into the net.
