Not very surprising since they seem to be our go-to call ups.

Put Leblanc with Plekanec and White and let's see what happens.

Gomez and Palushaj probably won't play next game, no surprise there. I hope they'll try Engqvist with more offensive oriented players for once, just to see how he can fare in that role in the NHL, seeing as he's developed that side on the AHL.

You'd be surprised. Take a look at what kind of AHL depth there is around the league and you'll see the Habs situation with Leblanc, Palushaj and Engqvist as the main forward callups is pretty much the norm, maybe better than that.

Detroit with Nyquist and Tatar and Anahiem with Palmeiri, Boinino and Holland are definitely better positioned as far as AHLers go, but after that its hard to point at a team with a much better group of top AHL forward prospects than Montreal. Generally if you have a bunch of NHL quality players in your system you play them in the NHL.

Its not like its a normal occurrence to have a Desharnais and a Pacioretty waiting in the system.

I don't get the hate on Engqvist.

Actually I do, if you're not a Top-60 pick, you suck and don't deserve to play in the NHL. The guy has had a few cups of coffee -- if every team made that quick of judgments, there are a lot of good players who would not be NHL players.

Just checked out the WHL website . Patrick Holland has 97 pts!! Wooo had no idea he was doing that well. Also I noticed Ellis is just 1 pt behind Beaulieau. Nice to see our prospects doing so well.

Hold on to your shorts and go look at Bournival, Kristo & Gallagher. We have some nice pieces. problem is they're still 2, maybe 3 years away.

I agree, he doesn't have a flashy game and gets stuck playing with plugs and defenseman so its hard to look impressive when he gets called up. He's got good positioning and blocks quite a few shots for a centre, would be nice if he used his body a bit more however. I still have hope for him becoming a decent bottom six player in the league.

where can I find Kristo's stats? Do you think he could have a shot at the NHL next year?

I like Engqvist. He needs to use his size more but he's not a bad player. He's had a sort of coming out this year with Leblanc too.
