Capitals vs. Bruins. 1pm. TD Garden. 3.10.2012

TV: Comcast SportsNet
Radio: 1500AM, 820AM, XM and Caps Radio Network
Pre-Game: Two-Man Advantage at 11:00 a.m., John Walton’s one-on-one audio with Dale Hunter at 11:00 a.m. on washingtoncaps.com.

Washington Capitals (33-28-6)
Boston Bruins (40-23-3)

Quote:
Washington makes its first visit of the season to Boston where it will take on the defending Stanley Cup champion Bruins in a Saturday matinee match. The game starts a rugged stretch in which Washington must play six of its next seven games on the road. That stretch starts with back-to-back matinee matches, on Saturday against the B’s and then back home on Sunday afternoon when the Capitals host the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Caps just finished off a season-long five-game homestand, doing so with a great deal of drama. The Caps underachieved, going 2-2-1 in the five games. Washington scored a total of nine goals in the five games, and six of those came after fewer than four minutes remained in the third period.

Six goals in 20 minutes, that's what we need in the first period against Boston.

Vokoun. Went with Neuvirth because of good performances, so I think its a given he goes with Vokoun after he stopped 24-26 but there was some major brake downs by the defense that Vokoun negated.

let's hope that the team is awake from the get go, and that vokoun is as sharp as he was against the bolts. since i'm from sweden the time for puck drop is great (7 pm my time) but i'm not allowed to watch it since there is some stupid annual music show on for 3 hours tonight

OMG1 Semin was demoted to the 4th line in practice. Stop the presses, RG3 for President to Dale the worst coach ever.

Let's see if he scores today and re-evaluate. What are a coaches basic tools, do nothing and let the player be his own coach, demote for practice or a game, or scratch altogether. Or in one ear, out the other.

Do nothing sure had a lot of people wanting him traded over the years.

It is about time Semin is demoted. Good for Dale. Best defensive forward on this team , by some on these boards my @$$!!!! Maybe this lights a fire for Semin or maybe he goes into a hole. I could care less about a guy who has not heart, is weak on the puck, misses the net more then he hits it and should have been gone from DC 2 yrs ago. Good man DH.

no backstrom, no green, semin on the 4th line and guys like wideman in the lineup.

yeah, that adds up to a win.

I'm not going to be disappointed with a loss because it's what I expect. I'll be very pleasantly surprised if they win. This team is not a road team and they are barely squeaking out home wins against the likes of NYI and Tampa Bay.

Florida and Winnipeg lost last night so the team will look at this as yet another opportunity to kinda, somewhat, maybe, sort of solidify almost a playoff spot. And they'll blow this one too. :lol

Or they could mentally get ready for the playoffs with a win and prove they can actually win a game of extreme importance on the road. If they'd do that I'd be extremely encouraged.

I expect them to get blown out, so maybe they'll win? That seems to be the way things have gone on the road this year.

According to Dale, Semin will be back on the 2nd line today. It was just something he changed in practice.

People make a big deal about nothing.

Ol' pal Mike Knuble gets back in for Caps after being left to rot, scratched 6 of 7... the scratches a bad coaching decision IMO.
