Oh well, it's okay, at least they showed character.

We'll set our sights to Ottawa for the next win!

Kind of a useless point... Oh well. At least we saw an exciting finish.

Nice of Bourque to start their break out for them on the winning goal there. Seriously, eat that in the corner and wait for cycling support, don't panic flick it back toward the blueline.

Markov ruined the regulation loss. Buffalo was poised to score an empty netter, but he disrupted the puck carrier and actually turn the tide in our favor. Now, that's what I'm talkin' about when I talk about real deal defensemen.

Exactly. They didn't quit and that's the kind of attitude they need for next year.

Tank perspective:

Still in the 3rd slot. Teams win their games in hand tomorrow and we have a 3-4 point cushion on most of them. 5+ on the rest.

We looked pretty bad for most of the game. Erik Cole won't keep scoring every night. We remain a 1 line team.

Non-tank perspective:

Markov is helping out offensively, but defensively he will cost us many goals as he shakes the rust off.

Could Rene Bourque care any less? I fully expect we learn that he wants out of town within a year. Dude is clearly not interested in being a part of this team and fighting for the cause, he probably thought he would be a Flame for a long time and would stay in his native Alberta.

Oilers tanking early. Down 1 goal in just over a minute into the game...

That's what happens when you realise that a great player can completly change a team.

1. Bourque may as well be traded on draft day
2. DD could have cost us Galchenyuk/Grigorenko and, if we win too many games Girgensons may as well don a Dogs jersey

5 out of 6 points in the last 3 games.. The playoffs are out of reach so no pressure and they now decide to show up and compete.

I really think that Bourque's going to turn it around next season with a new coach and set lines.

I hope Markov can refine his defensive game for the next game against Ottawa. Looking for a win on Wednesday for the Habs.
