Rangers @ Blackhawks

Well, regardless of legality, self-immolation is a likely scenario.

edit: Arggh, I'm so upset, I wrote this as pre game talk lol.

Pro: Richards scored. He should sleep a little bit better tonight.
Con: We lost.

Pro: Thanks for finally putting Richie and Gabby together, Torts.
Con: Do you think you should've attempted this pairing at an earlier point in the season, though? Kinda late to develop real chemistry here.

I know I sound like Tim Thomas but that rink looked effing dark.

Time to go play NHL 11 and beat Chicago 15-0. Won't help, but it will keep me form going mad.

Bench Scott and Rupp, play Dubinsky and Zuccarello, waive Woywitka

That's a start.

Would like to see what Kreider can do, can't be any worse. But Rupp and Scott over Boyle and Mitchell, no way. Scott would be lousy in the ECHL.

Shades of 05-06...great regular season, then a collapse, blown division lead, and a first-round sweep. Please let this year be different.

Really pathetic that if Hank lets in more than 2 goals we lose. We can't win games by more than 1 goal, and its going to be the reason we get out first round of PO. Offense is ****, as usual. Defense is starting to crap the bed and the turnovers are becoming more and more comical and unbelievable.

Terrible Loss...

Get it the **** together

The Rangers have to get their heads out of their ***** and stop making mistakes already.

Our team defense has taken a major hit. Not just the defensemen, but the forwards. Boyle has slumped defensively in the past week or so. I thought Callahan had a lousy game on D tonight. Anisimov has been lousy 1-on-1 lately, he's been getting deked out too often.

i agree rupp and scott arent as good hockey players as boyle and mitchell but rupp and scott hit more that mitchell and boyle and one big hit in a playoff series could be a difference maker

Matz Zuccarello or Jonathan Audy-Marchessault please. You know, guys who actually have offensive talent?

Its really as simple as this....this team is elite when their defense and goaltending is on lockdown. When its not, they are barely a playoff team if not worse. We dont have the talent to score a ton of goals...we need to win low scoring games.

I'm not bringing up something anyone here doesnt already know. Lately, our defense has gone down the sh*tter and the goaltending has been average. Our offense doesnt have the ability to pick up the slack.

Rupp I can live with, but they don't fight in the playoffs, and Scott is slower on ice than I am (and I'm over 60 and was hardly a speedster in my day). I see no real reason for Scott on the team at all, they have plenty of big guys to take on the Flyboys and the Bruins.

I'm not panicking yet, but this stretch is honestly feeling like the old Rangers where if Hank doesn't stand on his head, it's over.

thats true thing about mitchell that bothers me is that he will start out on the 4th line then torts winds up playing him in almost any situation with any line

Last edited by blooblood: 03-09-2012 at 10:35 PM. Reason: i would be ok with boyle being on the 4th line
